We are two weeks away from the start of camp. Just want to know everyone’s pet cats to watch out for during camp. I am including veteran players as well because there always seems to be a surprise cut of a veteran at the end of camp. My rookies to watch are Eric Scott and Asim Richards. My veterans will be Forniok and Wolesko. I will be listening out for who the insiders will be saying who is getting snaps on both sides of the ball. This will be an intriguing camp to say the least. Who are you guys players to watch?

my list, its pretty long, but I think it goes a long way in determining our team this year.

Eric Scott - either being 4 deep at CB and future at either outside or inside
Vaughn - would like to see how they utilize him.
Luepke - if he shows a little something, will dallas roll the dice with Davis, Vaughn and Luepke at RB/FB
Schoonmaker - the TE position is unsettled, so how and what he shows in pre-season is critical
Mazi - of course to see how he helps in run defense. if the middle is shored up, then DEs and OLBs need to seal the outside runs and it makes it difficult for these running QBs to do much against us
Steele - just interested to see how he does after his injury. I hope they don't play him a lot in pre-season.
Tolbert - Will he make the second year jump. if he is like Wilson a couple of years back, its a huge advantage for us
Sam Williams - I like to see him make consistent pressure.
the LB group, Cox and Clark. how will they do against outside runs and in pass defense. will Overshown so a little something.
Kicker - somebody please step up.

A lot of players to watch this year. More than for a very long time.

Rookies, rather drafted or an UDFA. And 2nd and even 3rd year players as well.

How does Dak look with the change in offense. Not that we will see much of it. Other than working on the timing as the WR's learn new and better routes.

Many will be high on Leupke, but Deuce as well. Overshown on defense and how he may be used.

A lot of guys. A lot of guys who could be heading out.....a lot of guys in year 2....rookies...people hate this part of the process but I love it. I think this year our team is pretty stacked up front so now its about finding the future for guys to start next season.

Walensko does seem to be a key player. If he sucks, we are in trouble.

Deuce, Mazi, Shooner as rookies. Tolbert will be nice to watch.

there better be some tangible changes made to the offense. I don’t expect them to rewrite the entire playbook but I want to see more motion, more disguised looks and less predictability

we‘ve all heard from opposing defenses that they could read our offense like a book and I know we’re all tired of that. We’ll know soon enough and that should help Dak and the running game

think about how rare it is that we see something like Dak run the “naked bootleg“ for a big gain and all think to ourselves that we should see a bit more of that

Would love to see what a lot of these great offenses do. They run WR's out and then dump off to skill guys like Pollard and Deuce in the flats and over the middle to beat linebackers one on one for bigger gains. Backs or TE's feigning pass protection and leaking out.

BUT..................Dak has to be more willing to dump the ball down. MM needs to make this a staple of his offense and make sure Dak understands that.

I don't care much for practices but preseason tells alot despite what many think. Take Dennis Houston fir example. Had all the practice hype but when the little preseason lights came on he did nothing. Flipside, we saw what Donovan Wilson did in preseason and the rest is history. Sam Williams was balling last preseason as well whereas Taco was invisible.

That's easy, all of them,

i mean it's been a while since we have had any real football news, the good ones, let's pray for no major injuries.

First, who emerges as the starting 5 on the OL? Does Tyron Smith make it out of training camp without an injury? I am hoping they do not pamper the older players too much in camp. Get Tyron out there and if he survives great, if not they get that out of the way before the season starts. People mentioning Farniok, this is the year he should emerge. If not then he will be a backup for life.

Second, what will the backfield look like. Pollard will be the starter but how many carries will he get and who will get the rest?

Third, who will be the 3 top LBs. Parsons and LVE most likely will be 2 but who fill the third spot? Cox, Clark, or maybe a rookie?

There are lots of other players too that need to step up. Tolbert and Fehoko, Kelvin Joseph, Ferguson and Hendershot. Will Bland's sophomore year be equal to or better than his rookie season, or does he suffer a sophomore jinx?

Is Gallimore going to be a guy we can depend on in the middle of the defense or the guy who got pushed around too often last year?

I am optimistic but my hope could easily be dashed by the wrong answers to some of these questions.
