Before Corona kicked in i was hoping to do a cruise, Alaska glacier bay inside passage. I'm kicking that can down the road for a later date too many germs atm. I have decided on a solo trip to Jerusalem/West Bank early November. I've never been there before.

Ok time for the questions.

Can Jerusalem sights inside the old city walls all be done on foot or will i need a few cabs/buses?

What is the process like to visit sights in the West Bank? Will i have to go through securtiy check points? Will i be harrased in the West Bank if travleing solo? How safe is the West Bank for travlers? Do cabs go from Jerusalem into the West Bank and vise versa or do people get dropped off at the check points and then get a 2nd cab/bus? Is it best to just pay for tours into the West Bank or can i do them solo?

West Bank sites i'm thinking about so far, Mount of Olives, Bethlehem, Jericho, and The Jordan River/Qasr el Yahud.

Jericho and the Jordan River are deeper into the West Bank, i will probably take a tour for these sites. Mount of Olives and Bethlehem are much closer to Jerusalem even walkable, but still inside the West Bank, i would rather not use tour groups for these two sites to try and save time if possible.

I found this video of people who walked it. In the video the person says "walls here, walls there, walls everywhere" I got a good laugh from that.

So from what i've researched it seems the West Bank is fairly safe, you just can't enter certian areas if you have a Israeli Passport.

I will take tours when i go into the West Bank, i would rather not because i like to move quickly from site to site.

Abrahamtours seems to be the company most people recommend.
