I would think that it's a random test. This is generally how the league does it:

By means of a computer program, the Independent Administrator will randomly select the Players to be tested from the Club’s active roster, practice squad list, and reserve list who are not otherwise subject to ongoing reasonable cause testing for performance-enhancing substances.

Since we are talking about the long snapper, who rarely gets brought up, let me say that like with Aubrey, Sieg was another good special teams find by our personnel people (and possibly ST coach Bones Fassel). Sieg was snapping for Pro Bowl kickers for the Raiders when they got a new ST coach who wanted to bring in one of his guys for the LS job. When Jake McQuaide left in free agency, we picked up Sieg on the cheap.

I worked in a job that required drug testing for 30 years. I went ten years without a test and then was tested five times in six months and then was not tested again before I retired.

I think they tested him as they would do with everybody else: random choice. He just made up a story that sounds better.

In the end its twitter. Nobody cares if its true what people post there. If it stimulates the stomach people share and get het up.
