Considering the success of Purdy & if they were to win it all (puke) it would be very difficult for them to remove him as the starter. Now, they'd probably have to have a kings ransom to trade Lance, considering they'd have 2 young QB's on rookie contracts. But it wouldn't hurt to at the very least inquire about the possibility. I'd give up pick 26 for him in a heartbeat. But I'd say they would want more since they gave up so much to get him.

I like Dak and I don't blame him for all our failures, but he's about to be 30 and I think he's hit his ceiling. If we could find some way to get out from his contract somehow (not likely) Lance would be a good reboot. Just an idea.

I wish. But...

A. The 9ers don't have a lot of incentive to trade him right away.
B. If their is a bidding war, I think the 9ers would give equal preference to an AFC team
C. If that's the case, the asking price may be higher than it would be for a possibly better prospect in the draft
