Hello zoners. My names Lucas Comba, and Im from Argentina. Ive been posting here since 3 or 4 years already (EDIT: I checked again, Ive been here since 2006 :) ), and Im very glad to announce that one of my dreams is coming true:

Im going to big D!!!

Next May Im gonna make a tripo to the USA with my mother and brother, Im still making arrangements bout the trip but its very likely that Im gonna be at Orlando (disney) and Miami most of the trip, but Im gonna go to Dallas 2 days at least...

The point of making this thread is, that as much as I know bout the boys and all the cowboys stuff, I dont know bout the city and for example, if I can make a visit to Cowboys Stadium.

Everyone in the Cowboys Stadium area can lend me a hand there? For example, do those kind of visits exist? If they do, how much I need to spend? In May, is there any possibility to meet a player? Even to meet Jerry?

Argentina is not near you know, so I want to make the most bout my trip.

Also, I dont know that much bout Dallas, which places you think that I should visit being there?

Thanks a lot and I know Im gonna make more questions as your answers come out :p

They do tours of the stadium on most days when there isn't another event scheduled. But you won't see any players there. If you want to try to see the team, you're probably better served checking out the OTAs schedule and going to Valley Ranch.

What out for the quick sand in Dallas. Many-a-foreigner have gone missing, never to be found again. Just warning ya, Dallas is a dangerous place. :D

You can take the tour of the stadium when you visit the cowboys shop at the stadium.
You won't meet any players or Jerry but I hear Rob Ryan lives in his office so you might get to say hi to him...:D

You can do a self guided tour of the stadium where they have marked places you can go to - lower level seats, on the field, the lockerroom, the cheerleader lockkerrom ...... or take the guided tour which will take you to the luxury suites and other places you can't see on your own. Self-guided is anytime the stadium is open, and guided tours are at scheduled times and a little more expensive. The stadium also has the most elaborate souvenir shop I have ever seen at a sports venue.

Lots to do in the area where the Stadium is. In May you can spend time at the large water park (Hrricane Harbor) or Six Flags amusement park which has a lot of huge rides - roller coasters etc. Also the Texas Rangers baseball team is right there if they happen to be in town playing a home series. All of that is within 2-3 miles of the Cowboys Stadium.

Thanks for taking your time, this is the kind of answer that I was looking for. Sure I can look on google but as I dont know anything bout Dallas (the city) and never been in the USA before... I prefer a nice explanation like this one. You say that if I go and take a self guided visit I can enter the field??? It would be hard not to lose a tear or two man. Can I even throw a pass???

And from monday to friday, do you know which are the times that I can do the selfguided visits? Or a link to where I can look for them??

Thanks a lot for your time man, I really appreciate it.

Hehe, Thanks to you too. I searched in dallascowboys.com and Ive found the times that the stadium is open for visits... Theyre open a lot so I guess I wont have too much problems going there for a visit. It says that VIP guided tours are limited, I just hope Ill be able to get one of those VIP visits.

Just leave the spurs at home, airport security might not like those. ;)

Hahaha, I dont have those (yet). Dunno after my trip to big D ;).

Another question, how far is Cowboys stadium from the Dallas Airport? How much I must spend in a taxi to reach the stadium from the Airport? Is there another way of going from the Airport to the Stadium?
