Mel Kiper has a 2nd round grade on him for some reason.

I agree with you, he is a high 4th round grade.

Strong player with a good motor, but he has a problem with leverage; being 6'6 doesn't help.

Haven't watched the Nebraska DT's yet but I remember liking their other starter, Hutchmaker, as well when I saw them while watching someone else for Nebraska in '23.

playing inside at that height is extremely difficult; virtually impossible to get under a OL player

Hutchmaker and Robinson are monsters. I'm a Nebraska football guy and have watched them their entire careers.

I think Hutchmaker is the safer bet as an NFL player in my opinion. He really knows how to play with leverage and power and should be a plus player against the run on day one, but Robinson is the better athlete and definitely has more pash rush upside.

Either of these guys would be a great value pick for Dallas in rounds 2-4 for Robinson or 6-7 for Hutchmaker.

Yeah, Mel hyped him up, and had me thinking this guy was some real hidden gem. Robinson is good don't get me wrong, but Mel oversold him imho. You guys are nailing the 4th round projection, hard to see him going much earlier.

Cowboys fit: I like that Ty can push the middle and get after the QB with athleticism for a guy his size. This dude doesn't get push around. Robinson can play NT, 3T and 5T, so no matter the scheme he fits somewhere.

Is Hutchmaker in this draft too?

Yes, but right now they have him pegged as an UDFA which actually surprises me a bit.

He doesn’t have insane god given athletic ability like Robinson, but he was a 4 time state champ wrestler, played football and wrestled (very well) at Nebraska, and terrorized Big10 offensive lines for years.

I personally think he is more than worthy of a later round draft pick. Only problem with him is a he may be slightly undersized as a 0-tech but maybe not have enough burst to play 3-tech.

Still think he could be a great situational player on run downs though.

Robinson and Hutchmaker aren’t Suh and Crick from ‘09, but I do think they’ll be good NFL players.

I readily admit I’m not a draft connoisseur but there does seem like there is a clear drop off after the top 5 defensive tackles.
1) Graham
2) Nolan
3) Grant
4) Harmon
5) Williams
Don’t think any will be available in the 2nd. Think most have soured on Walker and the 2nd might be a little high for Collins.

Had some nice rip moves over the center a handful of clips.

Please lawd, make Jerry double dip at DT this draft.

use one of those fifths on him or even the sixth. HE probably will move up some after the combine.
Even if he is only good against the run that is more than what we have now
