That's awesome...if any of you wouldn't do the same thing, you're just an investor....this is HIS team and he can do whatever he wants with it....I'd do the same thing.

Some of y’all get worked up over the stupidest things and are still repeating stuff from 30 years ago that wasn’t even true then.

Thing is, it's a HUGE day for these kids. He probably was reeling with surprise and semi-controlled excitement and just was partially on autopilot when speaking and misspoke. Happens all the time. Jerry even corrected him and handed him off to McCarthy. I don't like Jerry as much as the next guy, but this? This is a nonissue.

No one should blame Guyton for the gaffe. No drafted player really expects to get that call and the first person on the other end is the owner of the franchise that drafted them. Their expectation is their new head coach or position coach will be that first voice representing their new home as a professional.

Just like their college recruitment process or waiting in the transfer portal. First thought is a coach will be communicating with them initially. Not an athletic director. Not the university chancellor. Not a college dean.

Personally, I hope to see whether things change inside the war room after Jerry Jones. Will his son want the same ego boost? Or will he let his head coach or other coaches commonly greet new draftees first and get his time in afterwards.

I am also curious if he will ever re-design that ultimate board room/Game of Thrones/Knights of the Round Table setup his father loves so much. Keeping the head coach of a National Football League team sitting to the side of the Big Daddy Chair, like they are seated at the kiddie table at Olive Garden beside mama and papa.

lol.
