I love this guy and his mentality "just staying sharp and putting the best five out there" and he didn't even nibble on the left tackle bait the media kept dangling out there. "Just being elite at both positions" I'll say it again, I love this guy.

I'm not worried about Tyler Smith in the least -- he's a big, strong, developing o-lineman who will only improve. What we need mostly is better strength in terms of our backup talent. The Cowboys weren't doing enough in the previous offseason to rectify their OL deficiencies. Better OL depth is sorely needed. A couple of OL injuries in the upcoming regular season could easily create insurmountable problems. Let's keep our fingers crossed that good fortune is bestowed upon this OL in the weeks and months to come. Relying upon half measures for OL depth is a risky solution. Let us pray for good health to magically fortify us within the OL this year.

I like this pick more and more all the time.

I wonder how much of our o-line development over time has come from guys like Tyron and Zach. I swear, I can hear some of Martin's voice coming out in Smith here. Our guys seem to have enough clout that, if a rookie will listen, it could make them better players for their entire career.

Absolutely love this kids attitude and watching him interviewed. I didn't like the pick on draft night and then the next day when I watched his interview when he came into the building I immediately really, really liked the pick. I laugh at how people on here think he is being "held back" by playing OG and he sees it as a positive to do both. Just let this kid play. Doesn't matter where. I also think as he becomes one of the vets on the OL in a few years he is going to be a great role model both on and off the field for this group. We are so lucky to have drafted this kid.
