The Temps the NW is seeing today are not abnormal for where many of us live in the SW but certainly not in the Pacific NW. Gonna be hot for awhile longer there.
Yep, insane. Saw that somewhere in Canada was 115 which broke all the records.
The bad thing is many up there do not have air conditioners as they usually don't need them.
Yeah, like half the people don't use em. That high pressure ridge coming down from the Cascades is a Mother for sure. That's what's creating this situation. Until that breaks, it's gonna stay hot.
And the crazy thing is right now in Oklahoma we are about 79 right now and will have below average temps for the next 7 days or so. It is usually about 90 this time of year.
Advanced space travel...
We need to continuously remove water off the face of this planet. We need to continuously filter some of the heavier elements out of our oceans and our atmosphere. We basically need to use the moon as a dump site. That's the only way we can defeat climate change. I'm not talking about combating it, I'm talking about defeating it. Climate change can only be defeated by advanced space travel.

AND many of those readings before things were more organized were doubtful; thermometers were not calibrated and often were in locations that gave inadequate accuracy.Yikes if you're in NW
It's a bit below normal here, but still toasty.
Btw, any time you see the words "record high" or "record low", just remember it is mostly dating back only to 1880-1900 range.
That's less than .000001% of the actual time....or a very tiny slice of history....as in a microscopically small 1/500 millionth
Fun trivia for the weather channel as it relates to the last couple of generations, (and that IS important) but really not at all for "all-time"
Just a casual (and certainly non-judgmental) observation from my in-laws experiences--- I'm guessing you are Jewish or at least practice those food laws?If only the ocean and water sources had natural filters
I know you were not being serious, but here is an example of filters for the oceans and rivers. Clams, oysters, lobsters, and basically all shellfish are garbage disposals and filter the water. That is their function, to clean the water and waste of the floor of the ocean. Lobsters are the cockroaches of the sea. Like cockroaches and pigs that eat the waste off the ground.
They are not food, they are unclean. We harvest millions upon millions of the water cleaners and eat it. It doesn't make sense.

Not going into a religeous lecture or seminar here.no, i am christian who follows them. They are not jewish laws, they are God's. Jesus kept them, and his apostles kept them, all the christians until the last few hundred years kept them. I keep the Sabbath, the 4th commandment, and his feasts. If you use Bible hub and do a search of all the uses of Sabbath in the Bible, it is amazing people dont keep it anymore
Judea was one of 12 tribes. So, jews only refer to 2 tribes. The northern kingdom of israel was dispersed all over the world and multiplied. The migration of the northern tribe is an interesting study. Which includes a large part of the world population. Jesus said, I was sent only to the lost sheep of israel. To save what was divorced

Was just asking you an honest, innocent question
Your 1st four words answered it and that was all I was curious about
Thanks
I have read/heard all the rest a thousand times and this isn't the forum for that.
Whenever some dink claims this year is the hottest in history, they never talk about the fact that really its only been in the last 60-70 years that we have reached the point where one could say we actually are measuring things accurately.
So it should be the hottest year since we started keeping decent records.
And for a planet that is over 5 billion years old? Statistically irrelevant.
Hmmm. Interesting. I remember a lot of jabs were thrown at Texas during apocalypse earlier in the year from around the country.
