UFC 143: Diaz v. Condit

To each their own, Id rather watch a fight where they actually fight each other. I have no interest in watching a guy who is back pedaling and running 3/4 of the fight. Condit may have won, but the UFC wont be getting another $55 from me next time he is the main event.
This is MMA not Toughman.

People really don't appreciate the technicality of MMA.

I do like a great war but you can't have that in every matchup, nor be a champion if you fight like that all the time.

I appreciate it plenty, but the reason the MMA is becoming more and more popular is because the fights are shorter and have more action. You cant tell me that Diaz isnt a technical fighter, I prefer to watch a guy who is willing to get in there and mix it up. I understand that Condit didnt want to mix it up with him, but at the same time, you have to take points from the guy who is running the whole fight. At some point a fight should be about actual fighting.

They should have just stopped the match and called the fight in favor of Diaz the moment he pimp slapped Condit in the 2nd round.

I swear I saw an open-handed slap.

Wasn't really much to see for most of the night.

Didn't really care for the Werdum fight either. Dude had a big size advantage, has way more skill and at times did whatever he wanted but still didn't finish.

It's almost like he wanted the fight to continue to gain some brownie points for landing big shots over and over and over again.

Props to Nelson for taking a beating and never backing off one bit.

I was impressed enough with the fights.

I thought Diaz would honestly have no trouble defeating Condit so to say I was impressed, to some degree, that Condit came in with a solid gameplan for himself, and executed it, would be fair.

I was more interested though with the ******bag way that Diaz acted after the fight. Cracked me up the way the dude acted like a spoiled brat.

I hope Diaz does retire and doesn't comeback. Wouldn't hurt my feelings in the least.

He might need to change camps if he wants to take it to the next level. Caesar Gracie strikes me as something of an enabler when it's clear that Diaz needs to fight smart, adapt in the cage, and work on his wrestling and footwork.

Agreed.

Don't get me wrong with my dislike of him and his antics. I think the guy is a dang good fighter, who has some really great skills, but he's going to have to learn to adapt just like everyone else.

Instead, at least after his fight Saturday, he doesn't appear to be interested in doing that instead he wants to throw a little tantrum and quit.

It doesn't matter who you put around Nick, he's still going to be nuts. He's sort of like TO in that regard. People can make excuses for him or whatever, but it's simply going back to how he was raised and how it shaped his attitude. He's a 28 year old man, and it just isn't going to change now.

But heck, at least he isn't getting into fights in hospitals anymore. HA!

HIIIIYYYYOOOOO

Nick Diaz getting caught with weed is almost like Willie Nelson getting caught with weed.

Thought it was funny that a producer of UFC Primetime had a quote that Nick Diaz only sleeps, trains and smokes weed. He also said Nick doesn't even have tables, or alot of furniture in his house because he puts training mats and gym equipment in place of the normal house accessories.

Nick .. is just a different dude.

Didn't he get removed from the UFC in the past because he couldn't stay off the weed?

This dude proves to be more and more of an idiot every time you turn around.

You should look up how many times Roy Nelson has been finished in his career before knocking Werdum for being unable to do it.

Roy Nelson is so fun to watch for just that reason. That dude simply won't be finished in his match ups.

I wish he would get serious and drop down in weight, he's lost a lot of weight but I don't see him surviving at heavyweight much longer. Dana might make him drop to even stay in the UFC at this point. I love watching him fight as well.
