Amazing submission in the opening fight. The Korean Zombie went ahead and took home the SotN award. Do not care what else happens the rest of the night because that was an absolutely sick submission.

Cannot wait to see Anthony Johnson vs Dan Hardy later. Those guys will likely put on a show.

Did not expect the Johnson-Hardy fight to be a grappling match. Johnson hit that early high kick that stunned Hardy, but that was about it.

Really surprised to see Johnson go back to his wrestling, and even show he does have some submissions.

But I got to give Hardy credit - that dude never quits. GSP had him in a few nasty submissions, as did Johnson tonight, and the guy refuses to tap only to somehow find a way out.

Impressive, but yet surprising performance by Anthony Johnson.

Rumble, young man, Rumble.

Hardy was way out of his league.

Phil Davis' takedowns looked suspect in that 1st round. He was shooting, but not driving. It is almost like he is setting him up for some type of strike later off a faked shot.

Much better 2nd round. Still no drive on his takedowns like you would expect from someone of his caliber. But he got him down once, kept him down, and worked him over.

I would say 19-19 thru 2 rounds. 3rd round will decide it.

I'd give it 29-28 to Davis

But this fight magnifies the fact that Phil Davis needs to get out of Lloyd Irvin's camp. Even his wrestling looks like it is regressing, and his striking is still not evolving like it should. You see bits and pieces of the ability, but he just has not put it all together.

If he would just make a trip down to AKA to train with all the great former wrestlers (Fitch, Kos, Cain, Cormier) and one of the best striking coaches in Javier Mendez, he would skyrocket up the 205 ladder.

But right now, he's still a REALLY raw fighter with tons of ability, but alot of flaws.
