Another thread that I'm sure has been posted before but I would like to hear the story if anyone here has seen a UFO. I posted in the paranormal thread that I had a UFO experience and a couple of people asked me to tell it. Here it is:

Back in 1982 in Austin, I was almost 11 years old and my Dad is driving me and my two older brothers home. It was pretty late at night and this is in the Allandale neighborhood for those who know Austin. My Dad suddenly brakes hard about a block from our house and says, "WTH is that?" We get out of the car and there is a large disc shaped craft moving slowly across the sky. Maybe a few hundred feet above the tree line. It was big, so not like something that you're looking at way off in the distance. It even had the stereotypical ring of lights circling around the center of the disc. Literally, this thing looked like most of the UFO movies you've ever seen.

After it was out of sight, we just got back in the car and went home. I remember asking my Dad if we should wake up Mom and tell her what we saw and he told me to never tell anyone. He said they would think we are crazy.

Over the next few days, my Dad was reading newspaper and watching the news and nobody reported it. No neighbors said anything about it either. A few years ago, I started to convince myself that it didn't happen because we never really talked about it after that. I brought it up to my Dad and my brothers and they said it absolutely happened. To this day, I don't know what to think.

wow.
incredibe story.

i've seen strange lights in the sky but nothing definitive...far enough up in the night sky it could've been a satellite.
but nothing like triangular shape or disc shape.

i've always felt these stories were true.
the type of reaction from some people...who would want that type of attention on purpose?
yet despite the ridicule and lables...many stick to their story...just wanna know what it was.
i respect that.
these folks are seeing "something"...and it ain't swamp gas.

Was driving to my families house here in Albuquerque about 20 years ago with my dad at about 8 pm. We both saw three hovering disc's seemingly connected. We drove up to the house freaked and went and told my grandparents. Then all 4 of us went to the backyard and it was literally still hovering over the city and then we all flipped out when the three silent circular lights split apart and LITERALLY disappeared into the darkness. Only time I've ever seen anything like it, and I wasn't alone lol. We aren't alone haha

I have no reason to lie so I appreciate that man. I have seen other things way up in the sky like you've seen that I discounted as a trick of the eyes or maybe a satellite or far off aircraft. I would love for someone to give me a plausible explanation for what we saw that night. It was not a plane. It was not a weather balloon. Maybe an early drone, but it was 1982. We do know the military has stuff they don't reveal for years, if ever, so who knows.

I unfortunately have never seen anything that suggested I've seen a UFO. With that said, I never discount other's who believe they have (as long as it's not too far fetched). Anything is possible and we live in a universe that is unfathomably gigantic. Who knows what is out there?

The Phoenix lights is one story that really caught my attention that I love. I've done a lot of documentary watching and reading about that event. Also, Bob Lazar's story is really, really interesting. He seems very genuine about it. I would highly recommend the Joe Rogan - Bob Lazar podcast for any of you interested in this topic.

The Bob Lazar documentary on Netflix was really interesting too. I could be wrong on the streaming channel it was on.

My UFO story:

I was a freshman in HS back in 1993. I had gotten a concussion during the week and couldn't play. Coach asked if I would help film during the game because the assistant coach that typically did it was gone. All I had to do was stand up in the press box and keep the camera going on the tripod. Simple enough.

As I'm filming, there are these strange lights in thr distance, that appear to be floating in the sky. I can't really figure out what they are but something didn't seem right about them.

I decided this had to be caught on camera, to heck with the game. This could be the Bigfoot film waiting to happen.

I grab the camera off the tripod and begin zooming in, narration and all. I'm trying to explain to my future audience what is going on. I'm confused, amazed, and confident it's something special, all at the same time.

After filming these for what seemed like forever, I start to notice they are slowly moving toward the ground and the disappear. Then they are gone.

I go back to filming the game, explain to coach at the end what I saw and ask that he check it out.

Saturday morning we all go to the field house to watch the game film...I'm all excited for everyone to see it.

Coach begins to go over the film, then we get to where I spot the lights. Coach stops the tape and says for the next 5 minutes, get ready for some close ups of a training exercise at Ft Hood with flares. He mercifully kept the volume off but he sure gave me some crap after in his office.

I remember listening to Art Bell in the latter 90s and Bob Lazar was the guest. This and every time Bob came on was a very interesting listen.

I've heard a few other stories about people seeing UFOs from North Austin to just south of Waco. I don't remember the details as it's been some time ago but remember several people seeing one hovering over I-35

I don't have a UFO story exactly, but when I was about 9 or so, we were eating dinner and our dog was tied up outside. He started barking so my dad ordered me, the youngest of 4, to go get let him in the house. As I go out the door, I heard a crackling hissing sound coming from above me and to my left. I looked up and it was some kind of meteor or something streaking across the sky. This was not some little white streak either. It was a huge ball and trail of smoke and sparks heading north and it was clearly in the lower atmosphere. At the time I thought ,"oh, cool". It disappeared over the horizon in a few seconds and newspapers said it landed up in Canada somewhere. But it was impressive.

When that object exploded over Russia a few years ago I thought, what if the thing I saw exploded over my neighborhood? What would have happened? But my space rock just burned up and landed as a pebble somewhere.

I wish I had a UFO
Crazy thing about mankind... Whomever makes themselves undefeatable can tell those around them what rules they must abide by. That's how all of the Kings and Queens of yesteryear came to be. He who commanded the largest army became King.

So if you had an UFO you could be king of the world. Until it breaks down and everybody kills your arse.
