I keep hearing that and the media pointing this out daily, but Im failing to see where the inconsistency arguments come from. He's been playing great football the whole year, and if you reduce his entire season down to 1 game (a pretty meaningless game where by the 3rd quarter the other 2 games were already called....and if you don't believe me, just go back and look at the respective scoreboards by the late 3rd quarter)..... that's a very short sighted view.
Let's look at the whole year. Tampa game 1.... obviously rendered irrelevant now, because Game 2 was an entirely different ballgame. Then his slate against the NFC North... he was good in all the games except maybe Green Bay, but even that game wasn't a horrible Quarterback effort... it just included 2 picks - but it's the kinda game Josh Allen gets away with constantly, but Dak wasn't lucky enough to squeak out a win against.
Against the Giants he had 2 picks, but totally ripped it in the 2nd half leaving them with not enough possessions to get back in the game, and that game wasn't as close as the scoreboard indicated especially considering it was against one of the final 4 remaining NFC teams. I'll skip the Colts because they're a joke. Against the Texans there were tons of people who were off their game that day... including Turpin, Schultz and his costly drop that got Steele injured, which resulted in Josh Ball getting on the field and giving up that hit in the arm INT. But Dak in that last drive was arguably a turning point in the season, and it was a win in the end.
Against Jacksonville it wasn't the Quarterback that blew the game. Kelvin Joseph completely bit on that outside move, like COMPLETELY, not even 50% one foot that way, he fully committed 100% to Zay Jones' shake and bake move ..... something that most NFL cornerbacks aren't bad enough to make those kinda mistakes. Next drive his arm was hit on that INT, but a play that should've never happened if Joseph didn't make one of the worst plays by a player at his position on the previous drive.
Against the Eagles he was awesome... most people are fine with him in that game. Against the Titans he wasn't elite but Buffalo and Cincinnati and Jacksonville couldn't put away a backup QB until the last possession, so what's so bad about 27 points?
He was bad against the Commanders, but again... hard to judge who really wanted to play that game, and it was just one game to top off that argument. And even if you were to use that game, is it enough to go by to suggest that he's been inconsistent?
