Unsettling dream

I had a disturbing dream last night. I was taking a class on serial killers, and what can be done about them, and how to protect yourself, etc. Everyone in the class was normal, except one dude who was just a little too interested and who seemed all gung ho, like he was learning what he could so that he could BE a serial killer rather than protect people against them.

At the end of the class, everyone else was super nervous about walking to our cars. I did this thing where I jumped up into the air and caught the wind just right so that I could hover high above the ground on my way to my car. Everyone else was doing things like hiding in one place and then running to another place to minimize the time spent in the open. The weirdo in the class was just like this serial killer in that show where their job was to interview them. He was tall, stalky, and had a creepy mustache and talked in a kind of clumsy matter of fact way.

I did finally get to my car and then drove like a maniac out of there, bashing into stuff as I got out of there. It was a freaky dream. Why did I dream this/

Odd you should mention serial killers.
Netflix just put out the second season of Catching Killers and I watched the first episode about BTK. Pretty good if you have not watched it although it would have been better if longer IMO.

Catching Killers -- that's the show I meant. Maybe I saw some ad that there are new episodes and that went into my subconscious. The fact that serial killers even exist is just so @#$#%ed up. And the fact that some women write love letters to serial killers in prison makes me want to puke.

Sometimes people hate what they can't be. You secretly want to be a serial killer and that's why you hate them so much.

I personally believe that dream analysis is a bunch of garbage in the same zip code as astrology and horoscopes. Freud started it, and he was coked out of his mind and generally boiled most things down to blaming mothers and people being driven by ***** envy.

That being said, people talk about recurring themes in dreams and what they could mean. You mentioned running away from a pursuer and flying. Running away is thought to mean a desire to escape a responsibility or stressor in your life. Flying is thought to mean a desire to escape boring reality.

But I think dreams are just our brains vomiting things up we’ve seen or thought about over the last few days — even if we didn’t consciously notice it.

Oh, crap. When I was in the 6th grade, I hated my teacher so much that I put her picture on a dart board and threw darts at it. Do you think that was the first step toward becoming a serial killer? Now I'm really worried. Maybe I'd better talk to the police. I still have that dart board.

Over the years, I have watched women complain about there not being any good men available. I find it sickening that their solution to the problem is to get in contact with a notorious serial killer and quickly declare that they are in love. These situations are head-scratchers to say the least. Their solution to the lack of good men is to pursue the the very worst men that humanity has to offer.

I don't think you're a serial killer, @Reverend Conehead . I do know you're a cereal killer. I know that you used your time machine to get Strawberry Honeycombs and OJ's discontinued! What do you have to saw for yourself!?
