Its the offseason....its boring...who will it be? Its been old Dexter Coakley for about as long as I can remember.

I am thinking someone who can block if needed, has some speed to get down field on coverage units and could be a threat on a possible fake.

Barber or A-Train?

Fowler or James?

Thoughts?

Barber (we need to save A train he's old we need him at the goal line)

Fowler James will start in our 3-4 defense we dont need him start on ST too.

Coakley started and did it. I can't see Fowler AND James starting in the 3-4...in fact, right now, I would be surprised if either of them did.

A-Train is 27.....what a geezer.

Anthony thomas has been in the league for 4 years..

Coakley started in our 4-3 and started on special teams as well

First who is younger and has fresher legs, barber or Thomas, compared to other 3 backs he is older

Second i'm not saying it isnt done, but i woudl rather have my starting LB as thin as they are right now of the field on ST because of fear of injury, we are to thin on the LB crop as it is now, i'd risk a backup rather than a could be starter

With the Giants and Patriots he had Dave Meggett as the up back in punt formation. ALWAYS a threat for Meggett to run with it or catch it on a fake.

I could see Marion Barber filling that role for us this year...

Thats an interesting thought. Anyone but the Repenter.
He can run and he can block. He's smart. It would matter. Got my fingers crossed.

Barnes = :puke:

Why not Barber, like Dave Meggett we would have a proven offensive player who could catch and run the ball. Or Dantzler who could throw it or Crayton who was a college QB.

You beat me to it Hos. I think he'd be great. He has the size and the blocking ability... and he has the athleticism to do whatever we needed. Pure speed would be my only question for him playing there... but he's got plenty for the FB position.

Beriault might be a consideration there as well, if he makes the team.

:abuseme: what about Canty?? He's huge... you know he can block... and he could be a Hall of Fame TE!!
