Texas Tech men's basketball coach Bob Knight knows the biggest reason why his friend Bill Parcells announced his retirement Monday.

"How'd you like to coach Terrell Owens?" Knight said. "Terrell Owens would have gotten me out of coaching a hell of a lot quicker than he got Parcells out of it."

Parcells announced his retirement from football on Monday after 19 years of coaching, including the last four years as coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Knight said he and Parcells recently had a conversation about Parcells' coaching future.

if thats true...then im actually glad hes gone...shows how truely weak he is...all he had to do was ignore Owens...or try to be friends with him...i hope this isnt true tho...if so ill lose all respect 4 parcells....

This is what he has done for ever. He only has about 3 guys in the media he talks to that are still around.

I think he only really talked to one guy when he was in new england and that was will mcdonough....I butchered his name...At the boston globe.

I think he only talked to him when he was there because he worked with him at nbc.

That is who he is. He doesnt care about the perception of him.
