We lost 5 FA's eligible for comp picks. Of course we only get 4.
Not sure what the incentives are for all the FA's league wide, so with that, it can change a bit.

We would get the first 3 comp picks in the 5th round, and a 6th.

Tyron Smith's 5th round normally would have qualified as a 3rd round pick. But because of his vet 10 year player status, the highest that gets is a 5th.

Biadasz, Armstrong, Pollard as the next players lost. Fowler would qualify as a 7th round pick if 5 were allowed.

What in the world would we have to lose to get a 3rd Rd pick ? Seems like the Ravens, Eagles and Niners get a 3rd Rd freebie every year. We've been decimated this yr and our top compensatory pick is only a 5th ? Yikes.
It's 3 letters and I'll spot you the 'd' and the 'a.'

Interesting Jazz and thank you for posting, comp picks are always so convoluted, difficult to understand.

This, my goodness we lose FA just a 5th (can’t get even a 4th), they lose FA they get 3rd (yes know about minority coaches for the Niners).

Three out of those four guys made Pro Bowls. How much value do they lose because they are leaving the Cowboys?

Where can we find the precise criteria used to evaluate free agents and assign them a draft value?

Do they evaluate each player mased on specific attributes or is the decision made, individually by someone in their Evaluation Department, a room filled with ex-49ers, ex-Packers and ex-Eagles.

How do we only get 5ths with all those starters on other teams? These other teams be getting 3rds and 4ths for jag type players

Good thing we own the fifth round.

That monster contract Byron Jones signed with Miami netted Dallas a third. None of this years FA losses signed a deal like that.

What did they do with that pick? They took Nashon Wright.

Let it go.

You got sucked by the ALL IN. :lmao:
I know. I’m “naive” for believing someone when they make a definitive statement.
Instead Jerry is what he has always been. A bald face liar! Silly me for believing him!

BTW…..on another topic…
you guaranteed that our QB would have a new contact before the season started, and anyone who disagreed was “uninformed”. Are you still sticking by that statement?
