Once thought to be a position of strength, now seems a draft priority. Maybe not with a high pick but .....

I dont see them for a day 1 CB, but if they did and wanted to replace Joseph, but Booth and McDuffie are similar guys. McDuffie is pretty short armed though.

They have Gordon 7th, but I've seen him going in the 1st in mocks. He is kinda a proverbial "high upside but needs some work' type. But I think he comes in and plays day 1. I think he will go ahead of our pick because he can be a top 5 CB.

I think Kaiir Elam fits a Quinn scheme well. Bigger physical player. He is better than his 2nd projections. I dont think he will last to our 2nd though. At 56 I sprint to turn the card in even if Joseph wasnt questionable, just because you are getting a better player. It would be akin to a Diggs in 2020, where you get a guy that should have gone late 1st. The guy we passed on, Kristian Fulton, fit that as well and he has been very good. Something they both have in common with Elam: SEC battle tested.

Woolen will probably get overdrafted because of his RAS, but given we still have Brown and Lewis under contract, we may be able to afford that gamble. However, that does mean you are placing your bets on two projected at CB if Joseph isnt in your long term plans

How much playing time did Joseph have last season? Let’s not overreact the Cowboys have depth at cornerback. Maybe use of your 5th picks on a developmental prospect.

Elam is gonna be a first rounder for sure.

I'm an Elam fan. I think he's a top 20 player in this class, and the only hesitation I'd have in saying that is the atrocious track record of Florida corners over the years.

If you're pessimistic about Bossman's future, the #1 player Elam reminds me of is Bossman.
