A friendly this Saturday night in Florida. Think you'll win to be honest, our manager refusing to pick our best forward, our second best forward is in the under 21 squad as they have a qualifier and missing a few players through injury. Should hopefully be a decent game though.

I'll be honest, America will likely not watch.
Every four years when we qualify for the world cup we'll pay mild attention to Team USA soccer, and with the exception of the 2002 team that almost went to the Final, we don't get too worked up.

It lands right in the middle of the Saturday night MLS schedule. Thankfully I am west coast so I can watch it as a lead in to the Timbers vs Vancouver match.

Glad I never sat up to watch this, embarassing result and according to my mates who did watch it a 5-1 defeat flattered us. Wish i never started this thread now

It's really hard to get a feel for how good the US really is same with Mexico since they play so few meaningful games. Hard to really get excited about friendlies until you see someone like Brazil on the other side

I got a good feeling our attack is going to be much better now than it's ever been.

Im still worried about the defense though. I think they will get abused on counters and set pieces.

Having Jones and Bradley helps out a ton though.

Either way im excited about USA's direction.

Our Left Back Fabian Johnson looks like a beast too. He was storming down the pitch against Scotland.

From what I recall, we got pretty worked up when we hosted the Cup in '94...obviously.

I got to hold the Cup in my hands that year before the opening game at RFK. They immediately snatched it back from me when I insisted on questioning the weight by playful lofting it in the air. :)
