UTSA Football

ok, I won't lie....I am not as stoked about it as others. Don't get me wrong, I think it is great for my hometown, but I am a Longhorns fan first. I am a graduate of TAMU-CC, a UTSA rival. So I really don't give a rats about UTSA. With that being said, I found myself following the game on the radio last week and was quite pleased to see how well they played. I am watching the game today on the Longhorn network and I am pleased with how they are playing here in the 2nd half.

I really want them to do good. I want them to be successful. I can say they are now my 2nd favorite football team. If my alma mater ever gets a football team, UTSA will move down to third though.


BTW, their end zones are boring....they need to use the roadrunner logo to bookend UTSA

UTSA DE Smith had 4 sacks today....but he will be kicking himself for the one he didnt get. On 4th and 5 with a minute left, he hit the QB, but the QB was able to get the ball off and the play went for like 30 yds. 2 plays later, McMurray scored the game winning TD.

It reminded me of the Derrick Thomas 7 sack game....where he lived in David Krieg's jersey all game, except for the last play when he just barely missed the sack....Krieg threw the game winning strike.

im a big UTSA fan, went there my freshman year as part of the CAP program to get into UT. LOVE that school, LOVE san antonio, LOVE taco tote! lol so ya ive been keeping up with the games a lot, sad to see we are no longer undefeated

we have a lot of freshmen and sophomores tho so by the time we are in the WAC we should at least be competitive, we have a big stadium (alamodome), have a large city without an NFL or other major football team in the city. I really think we could be a lot like FIU, central florica, and USF have been recently, but not for another 8-10 years. plenty of great high school football players in the area and we have a great coach in Larry Coker! im exited!!!

Also, the longhorn network is gonna air most of their games
