VA Tech to the SEC?

The powers that be in the ACC have always made the schools outside of North Carolina feel like they didn't belong. That **** is going to come back to haunt them.

The upcoming playoff system is starting to shift the landscape of college football. The more teams you get into the playoffs the more money for the conference

With 10 current members they are staring at 2 BCS slots and 9 overall bowl games. Had KSU remained undefeated they almost certainly make the most money from the bowl season and wouldn't even have to split it with more than 10 members. 2 of those members wouldn't even get full shares.

You need enough quality games to enable high rankings. Only 4 conferences have that and this year that's been questionable for even the Big 10.

Making lots of money helps produce better programs.
The Big 12 could have added schools already if they wanted to but unless it was Notre Dame bringing more money per school they opted to stick at 10.

Big 12 members like that they each get to play UT once a year and that they don't have to play a CCG to advance to the playoffs/BCS.

The SEC and Big 12 routinely will have two teams in the 8 team playoff. The SEC will split that money with a bunch of spare teams while the Big 12 has top to bottom the best football conference going.

I think this will change with the playoffs coming and after the and 1 generates so much money i think they are going to quickly expand it to a 8 team then 16 team playoff in college football.

I don't see GTech. I think the SEC is out for FSU, Florida will never approve them. The Big 12 is the logical landing spot for FSU IMO but now that the ACC has reworked FSU's split, they may not be as interested in leaving the ACC. Depends on what the ACC does next IMO.

First, you do NOT get into the SEC unless it benefits the SEC. Second you do not get in the SEC unless the SEC ask you.

The only interest right now for the SEC is does it do anything for recruiting? That's why Mizzo and A&M got ask. The SEC wanted a presence in Tx AND further East (Cali).

I could see Va Tech filling a void but not Fl St.

But don't see them expanding anytime soon. Just my opinion as a current SEC fan who lives in SEC Country, Roll Tide Roll!

I find Clemson and FSU to the SEC infinitely more believable than those two joinging the Big12--like was said this past summer. They fit well in the SEC for several reasons.
I'd think that both South Carolina and Florida would not want this though.
