Don't shoot the messenger. Not my rankings
But for all of you who look for every flaw, you may want to realize that an offensive line unit is 5 guys who all can't be pro bowlers.

In the most up-to-date rankings

Pro Football Network...3rd
PFF...6th? not sure
The 33rd Team....6th
4 for 4.....4th
The Football Guys....1st
Fox Sports....6th

in my rankings have them at 16 and I just took that off the top of my head because this year they're one of the worst groups on the team I'm not saying everyone on the offensive line is bad but as a group they are not good no consistent run game getting pushed back by four guys so I don't no way they're coming up with these rankings but they ain't that good to me are you telling me this giant curve that tyron Smith and Tyler Smith are giving our Group A bigger grade what did they used to call that in school isn't that a curve??

I agree with you, the people doing the rankings obviously aren't watching the games like we are. PFF, lol- what a joke anyway

Yet every ranking system out there has them much higher than you do
So either teams of dozens of evaluators are ALL wrong or you are wrong.

Hey, I often don't agree with PFF either. But some of these guys are breaking down every play
Maybe the rest of the league OLs--except Philly, Detroit, and Baltimore---all are bad and its making us look better?

Miami's OL outplayed ours - and they had guys out with injuries too

look I watch every game this year and I could tell you that most games there's been at least two players on the offensive line running snacks running plays they're literally not opening up holes or run game has been pretty shoddy and then all I'm saying is Prescott happened to take off within two seconds of most games I mean I like I said tyron Smith and Tyler Smith have been playing pretty consistent and at times Tyler be honest has been pretty good but the right side of the line has not been good and it's not just Terrence Steele I've seen games where Zach Martins got punched in the face and knocked back into the backfield they are not who their reputation says they are and like I said if they're grading them as a group the curve is tyron Smith and Tyler Smith is driving up the score but I'm telling you from what I seen as a group they're not getting it done...

off the top of my head

77-rank him top 10
73-rank him top 10
TB-average =15ish
70-12th
steele 32

edoga 64 lol

like i said as group 16th

When the starters are all out there, it's a pretty good group. When we are missing one, it's a struggle.

Maybe. If we are 5th or 6th than Miami might also be one ahead of us.
I assume
Philly
Baltimore
Cleveland
Detroit
and depending on the rankings, some others.

Surprised that one group has us 1st. But whatever.

Our starting five got dismantled in Buffalo I'm not even trying to sit here and cover up how bad they've played in a lot of games you gotta add in the run game not just the pass game where's the big run holes where is the run game we haven't had many games where we can look and go man there's flashes that we can establish a run game against the better defensive lines they've got their butts handed to them more than they've done the **** handing

Well, Steele isnt 32nd best.
But even if you take your numbers, we have 4 guys above average or better. That alone would say top 10 without even thinking about it.

But not worth the debate. I was just pointing out that literally every single ranking service has Dallas top 6.

Maybe it says that the top 3-4 are WAY better than us but the rest of the league is pretty weak....so it props us up. I dont know

It happens. The line played well against Philly in the second game, after Steele struggled some in the first one. Our running game's struggles IMO is a combination of the line and the backs. If we had a better hammer, I think the blocking would be viewed more favorably. Instead, we've run Pollard against his strengths, which is the edges of the line where he can operate in space and use his speed. He is not a between-the-tackles runner. He can do it, of course, but isn't as effective when we use him that way. That's not all the line's fault.

This is just a reflection of how terrible OL play is around the league.

Maybe Dallas is 5th or 6th - ESPN has them 18th in PBWR and 6th in RBWR - but that doesn't mean they're good.

Its become pretty obviouse we are a passing team, the run game is hit or miss... have not done any fact digging for this but wonder how we do using draws...if teams are using 2 high i would think Draws might work...who knows...
