Versatile OL Jonathan Cooper Critical Playoff Addition

By signing uber-versatile offensive lineman Jonathan Cooper last Wednesday to the active roster the Dallas Cowboys may have just added a critical playoff addition to the most important unit on the team.
Swing tackle Chaz Green is ending his second consecutive season on injured reserve undergoing back surgery last month. When Joe Looney is starting on the line he’s a solid guy but then the team loses his services as the 3rd TE/Heavy package blocker. And that’s just the backups.
Starting LG Ronald Leary has back issues. He reportedly could have played Week 17 but the team held him out as a “precaution.” Back issues are never a good thing, linger and rob a player of his strength. Tyron Smith sprained his MCL against the Lions but “reportedly” is going to be ok for the playoffs. That’s two critical cogs potentially out and/or limited on game day and Doug Free has not looked his best of late which usually indicates underlying physical issues...
