VIDEO: Leonard Davis Press Conference

Wow... he is so giddy about being a Cowboy... I have a good feeling... he wants to win... tired of losing in Zona

he said that the Cards had no running game... Edge Dis ?

He looks like Larry Allen Jr

Jerry just dissed Parcells.... saying that they missed on O-linemen three years in a row.... kapow!

..the question of Rivera and how he's being viewed.

During the question about it from a reporter..Jones looked at Phillips and refered to other things going on with FA, etc.

And I don't think he was refering to the Columbo situation, that had already been discussed.

I sort of got the impression that there was something else going on with the OL in regards to FA possibly DTR.

But nothing was mentioned specifically with Rivera and what is going on there.

I'm wondering if the Cowboys are thinking of trying to keep Rivera as an option and not releasing him as is suggested..?

Possibly, the Cowboys are interested in seeing how his rehab goes and then trying to redo his contract into a more incentive contract to protect the team incase it doesn't pan out with Marco..?

If Marc Columbo doesn't sign and they are still looking at needing a G, they certainly might be wanting to immediately sign a FA G or even trade for one prior to the draft to fix the position and then wait on Rivera to get better.

If that doesn't seem to be working, they can STILL draft a quality G in April.

:)

If Rivera can recover at all, even as a backup/split reps with another player, they could get something out of him if he's able to play.

And if he recovers more fully, then they will have a very good OL.

But regardless, I sensed something in the answer that was a thinly veiled tap-dance about a direction that hasn't been made clear yet...concerning the OL and unfinished business in fixing it.

I'm assuming they are ready to pull the trigger on a quick alternative signing in the event Columbo is gone and have something in mind.

Anybody else get that impression..? Any indication who that might be if there is somebody out there they are ready to pursue..?

I think the team really hit the jackpot with Romo.

He is hilarious.

wow. That's great! When he said it was an honor to play for the Dallas Cowboys he lost it and flashed the million dollar smile. That, to me, says this guy wants to be here and is looking forward to doing bigger and better things in Dallas.

He sounds like a stand up guy and definitely sounds excited to be in Big D. I just got a kick out of him losing it when he referred to being happy to be a Dallas Cowboys. I love that.

I sort of read it as he'd hit the jackpot and was totally set for life with his new deal AS A COWBOY.

$40+ Million can bring alot of smiles.
