And this bluray movie...

In terms of video quality or sound or anything at all?

What makes one bluray more expensive than the other from the same retailer?

I'm not much of a video guy so any help would be appreciated.

the one with the blue casing is blu-ray.

the other is standard format +blu-ray dvd's for extras.

So the one without the blue casing isn't in blu-ray? Just the extras?

That doesn't make sense. They wouldn't put the main feature on dvd and the festures on blu-ray. I am not sure either picture is the actual box art so it is difficult to tell (at least from the mobile version of the site). I imavine the difference is in the amount of features.

Edit: The first one has DVD packaging (but is 2 disc blu-ray + DVD). They have one with blu-ray packaging for $14.96 also.

Going by the release date info, the $30 one looks to be the original release from 2007 and is a 2 disc blu-ray set. I think it just has a really outdated price on it that never got changed when newer releases were made.

You can get it for cheaper elsewhere $9 new, or less than $5 used.

that's what it seems like.

link 1:
Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End (DVD + 2-Disc Blu-ray)
DVD + 2 Disc Blu-Ray. the DVD would *have* to be the movie I would think and the extras on blu-ray to perhaps get you to buy it next time.

every blu-ray movie i ever bought (been a while since i bought or watched a dvd) was in a blue case to signify it was the high-res version.

Prob just a way to sell leftover DVD versions. I've never seen that before and sounds like a money grab.

Reading on amazon the one in red comes with the movie on blu ray, a extras edition (blooper etc) blu ray, and one dvd of the movie also.

I am thinking the one with yellow top might be and earlier release of the movie. Maybe when blurays were less prominent.

Where at? Online?

...Iceberg's advice. The standard for bluray in North America is the blue plastic casing.

You don't want to be disappointed. Not for such a small difference. If your TV projects at 1080p with surround sound there is a world of difference when you purchase the authentic blu ray experience.

Some of the posters have some good prices linked, but get the blue plastic packaging.
