NFL.com has a good video of an interview with Terrell Owens.

http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d802ba158

"... I do feel like a Cowboy. At this point and time, I definitely would like to retire here and be a Cowboy and go into the Hall of Fame as a Cowboy."

--
Having seen this interview (and others), I think Terrell finally gets it. I think he finally realizes that he's not getting younger and that this may be his last shot at success. And, it looks like he's bought into what Phillips and Garrett have brought to the table. It looks like he has full confidence not just in Tony Romo, but in his team as a whole. He complimented the special teams... *fingers crossed* haha

I think he finally gets "it", don't know if he will keep "it" but as one of his detractors from the start I think he is finally turning it around in my eyes.

Hope it continues. I think it will as long as the Cowboys keep winning.

Who cares if he gets 'it' or not..

Just keep scoring TD's baby..

Perhaps - but does he get that this is not the baseball hall of fame, and you don't "go in" as anything but a player?

Not sure...

Guys that play for more than one team during their careers sometimes go in as a member of one team or another based on who introduces you, "or what not." :D

To me it means he wants to be remembered as a Cowboy first and foremost.

I like that.

Even if he doesnt know... the sentiment is there...

His speech will probably breeze right through San Fran and Philly.... then it will go into how he finally found where he belonged.... ON THE DALLAS COWBOYS.

I dont know what "it" is that everyone is talking about.
He gets "it" ?

San Fran was a joke. He was trying to help franchise win and wasnt given the opps.

Philly was a GREAT... until his contributions would be decided by coach and QB. The result: losing SB and heading into following season with all kinds of questions and doubts about where that team was going?

The money - yeah he wanted to get top WR pay. I would too.... so would any of us.

1st year in Dalllas "why did you bring me here"? made sense to me... he wanted to be a part of winning... to help the team win.... he was somewhat held back

Fastfoward to now - Garrett and Wade KNOW that if you have a playmaker then you have to make plays FOR HIM.

In the end... thats all he ever wanted + top pay for WR... one has nothing to do with other

Yeah... so who introduces him?

Jerry? Romo? Someone from the past that helped him?

Wouldn't be surprised if TO selected Jerry Jones just like his great friend, Michael Irvin.

McNabb was and still is the problem in Philly.

First the comments about Owens, and the black on black crime, then about the success of Garcia, and how people were forgetting about him since Garcia had success, and now with the comments about black QB's, ... he is such a whiny butt pansy.

He is such a baby that needs catered to, has been for a long time.

Seeing how Owens has been since he signed here in Dallas, and how McNabb has been over the same period of time, I see more now what happened in Philly.

I think the "it" is his awareness of his actions/words beyond what happens whistle-to-whistle. Don't get me wrong, I am still weary but like BrainPaint said, I think he's turning it around.

I think the "it" is that he's coming around to the fact that his career is more than just him, it really is also the 51 guys around him and the coaching staff. There's a good thing going here in Dallas and it could be his shot at being remembered for something other than the sideline tirades, the shouting matches with coaches and players, the selfishness in the media's eye, etc.

Either way...it's working and I'm liking the results

I don't know about getting it, personally I don't think he was all that bad to begin with...a little childish perhaps, but never malicious or criminal....All I know is the guy looks so much faster this season than last, catching most of the balls thrown to him, scoring at will and the guy's work ethic has never been questioned. He should remain a Cowboy as long as he continues his production and stays the course.

Agreed there.

This is where I disagree. Its the perception that its only about him. He may be very into himself but its never ONLY been about him. After "The Catch II" where he dropped passes all day only to catch that great pass from Steve Young while 3 packers were around him and closing in on him... in the post game locker room video the first thing TO says is something like "I want to thank every one of my teammates...." and then I believe he elaborated on that point again...

The fact that he lets his emotions come out good or bad suits me just fine he is not a thug or a criminal. He has heart, practices hard and wants to win. Also they way he tried to console a certain young undrafted free agent QB who his own coach threw him in the fire, says a lot to me. T.O is awesome

I'm glad he's happy and playing well for the 'boys. It's great he wants to retire a Cowboy, but I'll always think of him as a 49er. That's where he made his name.
