Commanders coach Mike Shanahan would not rule out pursuing Vincent Jackson after the unsigned restricted free agent was deemed eligible to play in the fifth game of the season.

The Rams and Seahawks had been given permission to talk to Jackson's reps two weeks ago, and it's believed that the Vikings were the third team in talks. It wouldn't be a surprise at all if the Commanders entered the mix as a fourth team. The fit makes as much as sense as any if the 'Skins can be convinced to give up another 2011 pick after already having surrendered two in the Donovan McNabb and Jammal Brown deals.
