Von Miller Consensus at #2

This is the new rumor or basically what is being said by Gosselin, McShay, LZ (Houston Chron and Radio Host) and others from PFT. That moves Peterson and Dareus down. I'm really excited about this draft. I think there will be alot of maneuvering. Kipers last mock has Miller there too.

Remember Mayock also has Von Miller No. 2 to #Broncos, and NFLN's Kara Henderson, who's in Denver, says sentiment has shifted toward Von.

ESPN's Todd McShay said on SportsCenter Thursday morning that he "strongly believe(s)" the Broncos will take Texas A&M LB Von Miller with the No. 2 overall pick in the draft.
Mike Mayock and Kara Henderson of NFL Network agree with McShay. Henderson is on site at Broncos headquarters, and if we had to construct a mock draft right now, we'd probably give Miller the edge over Marcell Dareus. It's going to make pick No. 3 very interesting for the Bills. Buffalo could easily take Dareus, but Adam Schefter believes Blaine Gabbert is a serious possibility.

I don't see how Miller fits into that defense at all. I think he has to be a 34 OLB, and a weakside one at that.

yeah, it makes no sense at all. Dumerviel will likely have to play SSLB, kinda like Peter Bowlware in Baltimore while they ran a 4-3. You can get away with 1 pass rushing LB in a 4-3, but not 2.

This makes me think they are enticing someone to trade up, maybe Buffalo, but I doubt they do.

If Denver leads teams to believe that Miller is their guy then teams that covet Dareus may not feel the need to trade up to the top spot if they think they can trade up to 3, 4 or 5 and still get him.

Just throwing this out there, but what if it's simply to flip-flop with Buffalo and pick up a 4th rounder as a hail mary?

Don't discount this entirely, but Denver could select any three of the top defenders this high.

Problem is, I don't see anyone who would want to trade up to #1 that is already high enough that it doesn't cripple their draft.

I think he plays OLB on base downs and then plays with his hand down in nickel sets. Not unlike the way Shotty used Lavar Arrington when he was in Washigton. As Goose said, John Fox needs linebackers and defensive linemen, and there's only one good linebacker in the draft, but a ton of defensive linemen. They can get Miller in the first and then grab a Clayborn or a Phil Taylor in the 2nd.
