Note: 15 minutes of nothing

Flew in on American Airlines, giggle

Good thing about being coach, never late

Glenn, Ellis, Newman did not practice

Burnett practiced

Newman could play if he showed full speed before the game, Ellis and Glenn could too cause they know what's going on

Mr. Rogers will be one of the 45 - brought in for ST; also need to carry more than LBs

Bum Phillips likes to talk about cows

Hurd would be #3 if Glenn can't go.

Not much else

Edit: Roy, Henry and Barber for punts

Barber would probably return it rather than fc, but Crayton did avg 7 yards a return which is ok

Did I hear him say Roy was one of the guys practicing as an emergency punt returner?

Yeah, forgot or fell asleep

Yep I heard that too, sounds like it would be Barber though if it came to that.

this all seems shady like both coaches are playing games with each other about who is playing.

Why didnt Glenn practice?:banghead:

I may have not heard it right, I was having some trouble, but I thought he said he had swelling in his knee.

I knew this was going to happen with him, like I said get used to Hurd stepping up this season.

If thats the case, that probably isn't too good of a sign for how the year is going to be.

That was my take as well.

Here are a few tidbits:

He did mention in response to Spencer question that he told Spencer that he looked like a linebacker this week.

Glenn didn't practice cause he had swelling in his knee. Also mentioned that Hurd was our #3 WR if Glenn can't go.

Somebody asked a question about who our punt returners would be beside Crayton. Wade mentioned Marion Barber had caught a few -- apparently Barber did a little in college. Even mentioned Roy Williams catching a few but I might have misinterpreted that.

As I've said before, Wade sure doesn't say a lot or give away much information. Of course the media doesn't ask many good questions either.

I'm glad Burnett practiced today cause we'd be in deep trouble with 2 linebackers down.

Like Dallas Fanaic said -- short and nothing to chew on.

I still don't see why they don't have Notre Dame's best punt returner since Troy Brown have a shot at it.

I'd pay to see RW return a punt.

Can you imagine the vicious collisions?

Anyone remember when Bill Bates returned a punt for Landry, because he had good hands? I remember him trying to run over the first guy he saw and about knocking himself out... LOL!

BTW, this is the second day in a row Wade has said that Spencer has practiced very well this week... Maybe things are starting to slow down for him.
