wade was on thefan 105.3 today, i missed the conversation. The guy on the show when i called in to get a summary said he would post the podcast in an hour or so. So, will try to post that when available.

All i caught was when wade said wade didnt know if romo had cut his hair yet or not. That Romo was suppose to be coming in for a meeting this morning, and wade's press conference would be on later about the Commanders, etc with his usual wed press conference.

listening to the conversation of announcers and fans, they are thinking wade is back next year and maybe this year or next take cowboys to superbowl.

Whereas i am not forgiving if the cowboys get to another playoff first game and lose. No way!

They talked alittle bit about how wade is laid back but supposedly can be stern when he has too.

Some fan called in and said that wade sounded exactly like bum phillips. This is where i have a problem, bum phillips was a pretty good coach, but he never won a superbowl. Enough of good ole boys to me, the bottom line to me is about winning superbowls. If you remember bum phillips never won a superbowl. Sure, they got robbed of one against the steelers, just like we got robbed when we played the superbowls against the steelers in 70's, but we did win some superbowls with landry. Bottom line, you have to win superbowls to me to be considered a great coach. Just being a good ole boy, doesnt cut it with me. Its what you do as a head coach winning playoff games and superbowls. I will probably get blasted for this comment, but this is how i feel. Just like when we lost 2 superbowls to the steelers, the steelers always let the cowboys know that they beat them in the superbowl. YOU must get to the superbowl to really count to me as a head coach, not just get to the playoffs and keep losing playoff games.

Thats all i know, also some pic supposedly is up on the website of thefan and wade was kinda taking a jab at one of the announcers for having it up on the website.

Will try to post more when i get info.
Again, tried to get alittle summary, guy i talked to said that he had like 10 calls and didnt have time to give me a short summary.

True SB do matter however many coaches have gone through failure before ever getting to a SB let alone winning it. Bum got a decent team to play quality football and faced off with the best team in the NFL in Pitt at that time yes his team lost but gave Pitt a run for their money. As for Wade he is 0-4 in post season yet it only takes 1 successful post season to turn that around who is to say he would not be 4-4 in post season after this year and if he were then does that make him a great coach?

So we can only hire a coach who has gotten to the Superbowl.

Hmm. I guess if Shanahan and Holmgren are gone, we have to take Brian Billick. Or maybe Lovie Smith when he gets canned.

Hey, how about Jim Fassel? He'd be a great one.

soooo true, all it takes is one turnaround and all is forgiven
look at how we think Bill Cowher is the Messiah and yet he took 8 years to finally get in to the SB and we beat his @#$$%....but from that point on he was considered genius

Maybe we should bring in a hard nosed proven winner like Bill Parcells.

Oh wait..............never mind.

I agree with that, my point is, do you want to wait another year, if wade takes the team to the playoffs and lose first playoff game again? Or say the cowboys flounder in december like they always do and wait another year with wade?

understand what your saying; i think the whole big problem has been this;
parcells, wade dont have the buring fire because their older coaches now

you need a young coach like tomlin with the steelers or a young jimmy johnson was winning when he was in college. Only thing with being a colllege coach, its a learning curve to the NFL. What you might need if you go that way is have an experienced coach like jon gruden or dan reeves as an consultant to help the young college type coach if you go that way.

To me you have to be young and want with having that burning desire to win your first superbowl.

I think I have made it very clear that I think Wade has to get this team over the hump in post season. I don't think winning the SB is the only way he can keep his job as some feel.

None of us really knows how Jerry feels but his comments regarding firing Gailey to quick in Jerry opinion leads me to believe if we have some post season success Jerry will not look to start all over again with someone else.

However if Wade fails then yes I think he will be a goner. Since I do consider myself a diehard Cowboys fan I'm backing this team and this staff to win and if in doing that Wade keeps his job then great I'm happy for him and even happier that the team was successful.

The question is who? It's all a giant guessing game. For now I will back Wade. He is our coach and we seem to be improving in many areas. Hope we peak at the right time. Mid December I expect us to be firing on all cylinders with the exception of missing Colombo. That is going to hurt, but can be overcome.

i agree with that, what i think has to happen for wade, he must get the cowboys to the championship game, he can lose that game, but must be a close game, or say the other playoff wins before the championship games were really good games, with cowboys wins, that keeps wade his job.

didnt want you to misunderstand me, i would be happy for wade if he gets the cowboys to the superbowl and wins, heck even gets the cowboys to the nfc championship game, then jerry jones can get wade what he needs to put the cowboys over the top like jerry jones did when he got charles haley and the ex pittsburgh safety (cant think of his name right now) which put the cowboys into the superbowl for several years.

Then we appear to be on the same page. Heck Wade would not have been my 1st choice but it was not my choice to make. He was the choice of the Cowboys and he is the HC I want nothing more than success for this team and if Wade can achieve that then great. As a fan I'm pulling for that success.

Note to next coach:

Put it in your contract that you don't have to do weekly interviews with buffoons who don't know or care anything about football.

Seriously.

But at least Wade fired back a couple of zingers this time.

wade on thefan; i have a pretty good sense of humor as long as it isnt about me, told him abojut some pic of wade with no pants on

bradie james has this look like coach wade no pants come on

talked about rex ryan crying to his players, if wade did that, wade said their is no crying in football, said you have to coach as you are, be your own person, tom landry had hardly any expressions, yeah but wade landry did cry in front of players in 65 and that unified the team

biggest concern, we didnt play well enough to win;
we had a chance in every game but we didnt play well enough;

jimmy johnson said you cant get too comfortable, same ole problems, sacks, penalities, i dont think so, we had 10 penalities but other team had 12
were not trying to make excuses, but go to next ballgame

last 2 drives we went right down the field, but unforunatley our timing was too late in the game on thnose drives

we do have some players that have played in the game and counting on them to step up this week,

no red flag left, the refs just missed it, we were screaming at the refs but they didnt pay attention, guy on our side heard us, but never happened, im sure league will tell you what should or should have been done

lack of running game question; its not all stats, some games we won we had big passing game when the opposing team committed to stopping the run

choice question; and felix wiht knee brace, actually choice played more than other guys, that will shoot that theory down;, marion had like 5 yards per game and we feel he will be be stronger for us in 4th quarter, choice had 33 plays and barber like 24 or 28;

we used felix on kickoffs since i didnt use him on running plays as much;
you know i didnt say that, listening is a skill, sometimes reporters dont listen as well as they should; wade took a shot at the reporter, telling the reporter he might have caught him wiht his pants down;

whatever makes you bear donw, sometims a loss makes you bear down, for coaches to get the importance of the game to the players mentally

you know there is a league fine for coaches if they talk about refs, wade tells reporter

on felix down or not with fumble, was he down by contact, no, unfortunately, they rulled the fumble all the way, but if they had ruled othewise like they should have or not is another question;

there are challenge rules, unfortunately wasnt called right on felix when he was down; hope romo doesnt cut his hair again, (this is where romo said he wouldnt cut his hair till a loss;)
thats it
