At first I found the name of the article quite amusing but was just plain interested since I'm Asian and this is the first full blooded Chinese in the league, yeah I know Dat was on the Boys but he ain't Chinese. Other players of Chinese origin have played in the league before but all have been mixed and none have ever been purely Chinese like Wang. I wonder if this guy does well and ends up being a starter, how does China react and will they ever adopt Football as readily as they have Basketball?

Agreed, but regardless I think China could be a significant market for football similar to what happened with baseball and basketball. I'm unsure if the Chinese can be big enough to play though. I remember a while back seeing US players play I wanna say Japanese players in an exhibition game.

This guy went to my high school. I was 2 years ahead of him. He didn't look the same as he does now. Much skinnier before.

This guy has the potential to be the most popular football player on the planet, considering he has a potential 1,338,612,968 fans. Not intended to be racist or anything, but China seems to be very supportive of its international athletes and trys hard in the Olympics & a Chinaman excelling in the NFL would more than likely propel him to popularity in mainland China, therefor giving him a potential 1,338,612,968 fans.

I talked about this weeks ago.

First Chinese American to play in the NFL.

His mother and father played for the Chinese Olympic team.

It may sound racist ...... but as a business man you cannot dismiss what happened in China when Yao Ming joined the Rockets.

Or how Argentina all became Spurs fans when Manu became a star.

But he is a great prospect ..... smart and pass blocks extremely well in college.

Some people in that thread did not like it

:laugh2:

So what you're saying is Goodell needs to find the NFL some kids with both Indian and Chinese parents so we can recruit 2.5 billion new fans?

NFL Europe didn't work out to well. Wonder if NFL China is the next experiment.

I'm sure they can find a few taller Chinese to play QB and see over the offensive line. I wouldn't put it past em to try and go for NFL China.

I'm sure Buffalo can expect to be one of two teams to be sent to play a game in China within a few years.

Maggots.

What?

You're eating maggots Michael, how do they taste?

Starr, "Leave him alone!"

Great flick. Thought Michael was a bit too much of a feminine care product though.
