Whether American Idol is a crappy show or not is irrelevant. The guys sang the crap out of that song imo.

That's not a religious song, despite the Alleluia. It's a beautifully written love song that uses some powerful religious imagery to describe a relationship between a man and a woman.

eg: "Remember when I moved in you, and the Holy Ghost was moving, too, and every breath we drew was Alleluia?"

Just great, great lyrics to go with beautiful music. It's a crying shame this song has been popularized and overexposed. It jumped the shark for me when it was used in Shrek.

This version is by far my favorite. Sung by Espen Lind, Askil Holm, Alejandro Fuentes, and Kurt Nilsen. All 4 guys are very good, but Nilsen's vioce will blow your mind. (the Louie Anderson lookalike) Not at all what I expected him to sound like.
