(running backs only)

Working backwards...
2008
8 for 26 3.3 ypc

2007
16 for 1 0.1 ypc
24 for 70 2.9 ypc

Everybody kind of dismissed the week 17 performance last year because a lot of the the starting OL was out. But we couldn´t run against them in the first game last year, either. That makes 3 straight games that we have not been able to crack 3.3 yards per carry against Washington.

In our last 20 regular season games, opponents have held our backs to 3.3 ypc or less only 4 times, and our record is 1-3 in those games. The only win was against the Skins in Texas Stadium last year. Garrett stuck with the run even though it was not working, but we needed a late INT and 4 touchdowns from Owens to win that game.

Dallas is 16-1 when the backs rush for more than 3.3 yards per carry. The only loss was against the Patriots. So unless we find ourselves up against an offensive juggernaut, 3.4 ought to be enough to win. Not asking for much from a running attack that features 4 Pro Bowlers.

I get the feeling that they know exactly what we want to do and exactly how to stop it every time we play, and apparently it doesn't matter who the coordinator's are.

They also seem to bring alot more intensity to the games against us.

Our strength on offense is in our balance. We can't win if we can't run the ball consistently.

if they would have ran behind Bigg and Colombo it would have been different. no they kept trying to run behind Proctor which brings me to the point of why proctor is starting again ????

it really don't matter how little success you have running you still have to mix it up. half your playbook is out the window if you don't run and a good portion of your passing plays as well since no one is going to bite on a playaction
