Was last night's game a trap game? There is no question the Defense played lights out. There were a few plays on offense that were ESPN worthy but for the most part, I wasn't impressed with the offense.

I'm not going to sweat it nor fall into the "Trap Game" narrative.

It's Big Mac's job to get them ready !

Trap games I always thought of were 'sandwiched' between a great game and then one that we should 100% win followed by an even bigger game. So aside from that it has to be hard for the offense to watch the D score all those points while sitting on the sidelines...

This wasn’t a trap game. An example of a trap game was us versus the Jets in 2019 when Darnold annihilated our team fresh off of a mono sickness.

What we saw last night was a facade. They appeared great. One could say they almost played immaculately (minus the offense). They executed in every facet. Will we be able to replicate that? Probably nothing that great. Will we ever play up to that standard again? Yeah. We have the Giants on the schedule again so probably. Will we play that well against superior opponents? No. This team fails to step up to the plate when it matters. This team may surprise me, but it hasn’t yet.

I heard and saw plenty of offenses that were rusty.

they played a good game. they won. and how many plays a game are ESPN worthy anyway? they only pick a few per game as it is.

not sure why people wanna be unhappy when we whaled on a rival in epic fashion.

No. I've seen enough of the player interviews now after the game to know they are level-headed.

- Dak told media it's up to you guys to make the story, we already know what we need to do to prepare.
- Trevon Diggs wasn't nearly as cocky as post-game show made him out to be. NBC interview was great example. Confident but not boastful.
- Parsons had the "we're dawgs and going to keep improving" theme.

Where the young guys can step out of line, there is a vet to keep them in check.

Coach Mac and Q have weeded out the dumb and lazies. Exciting times.

Yes it's a trap game for the Jets because they don't have a clue about our offense Lol. They are going to get punched in the mouth also.

Perspective is key…the weather and some lucky bounces helped us immensely.

But it’s hard to ignore the dominance our defense showed against a playoff team from last year. If we play defense like that all season it’s going to be very difficult to beat us.

Enjoy the win! The team put a beat down on a conference rival that made the playoffs last year!

Some people refuse to enjoy a win, no matter what. It kills them that the team played well, and they can't post negative thoughts about them.

ENJOY THE WIN!

Next week is the potential 'trap game'. We have an older Aaron Rodgers on an unknown, under-the-radar Jets team and we're coming off of a massive win in a game many expected to be close, me included.

We always have problems with Aaron Rodgers, and if the defense comes in feeling like they already have won the game, we could get carved up.

Next game will really show how serious this team is and whether McCarthy is able to keep expectations in check and keep the team from getting big-headed and complacent.

we got ahead. we were never threatened, so MM adjusted the game plan. rainy, sleepery, defense is being dominant. why be aggressive. now if it was Moore, he would probably throw 5 50 yard bombs and 4 4 WR 12 yard curl routes. back to back to back....

Was it a hurricane out there or was I just imagining things?
