Why did Portis only get 6 or so carries for 17 yards? After all the trouble the Commanders went through to obtain his services (money, trading Bailey), I've been real surprised by how he has been used.

Is he being used incorrectly, or has he just not been all that effective?

I think he's secretly hurt....Some think Gibbs doesn't like him......

Effective...ehh.....I guess 6 for 17 is not that good but bettis was 15 for 30 and finished 30-100......I don't think Gibbs has the patience to wait all game to get rolling.........

sigh.....If there were only 6 quarters....lol.....
