interesting - from some ones personal files.

I'm surprised it took this long for someone to comment. That image of Abe and the Calvin Coolidge images are amazing. To see the presidents from so long ago in such clarity. Most photos back then where of poor quality and very hazy. (especially of Abe's time)

Abe is one of the greatest men in American history. I'm in awe looking at that image of him.

Man, I wish I there were photos back in Washington's day. :(

Great photos. Nothing like a snapshot in time.

By the way- your location. Are you referring to the star in the Orion constellation?

The one that got me the most was the Lincoln Memorial under construction in 1916. That is a cool pic.

I am surprised at the photo of the KKK meeting. I thought it was dangerous to be around those secret meetings. It kinda looks like they didn't know they were being photographed. Maybe they did, I don't know. Maybe the photographer was hiding in the trees?? I would be too shaky and scared to be anywhere near there. Yikes!

Betelgeuse? Yep, that's the one! :)

Good stuff!

One of the comments regarding the picture of the KKK meeting reads..."they look like an army of Hershey kisses."

:laugh2:

Calvin Coolidge was a good president, maybe you should look up Lincoln some more.

Well I'm back working in DC again, right by the National Mall...I walk around the Mall almost every day and snap a lot of photos of everything, so I'm building up my own little history of photos :D

Make sure you desecrate that terrorist Abraham Lincoln's memorial when you pass by it. :laugh2:

Now that the Hershey kisses have nuts inside, perfect analogy.
