Don't think they would trade a significant player to us.

I bet they send Sweat to the Dolphins or Chiefs. He will want a big new contract...and that may be the trickiest part to work out, especially if he plays hardball.

Nobody giving a 2nd for a guy with half a season left b4 he becomes a FA unless a new deal is involved.

I bet they keep Chase. He's just 24.

Not really sure why. They can still compete and have a crap ton of cap next season

I’m not so sure about that. He’s missed 22 games with injuries.
True.

Maybe the new regime (owners) just want a clean slate.....and maybe want to stockpile as many pucks as possible to try and package them for a top QB in the draft unless Howell becomes significantly better.

Every new regime wants that superstar QB.

They need to get that line fixed before they think about a QB tbh

Chase Young is a player I’m sure they would like to keep it if it wasn’t for his injury history. He got off to a promising start his rookie year with 7.5 sacks, but only had 0.5 sacks the next two seasons, because of missed games. He’s off to a good start this season with 5 sacks but his lack of availability has been an issue. That may cause the current ownership to want to explore trade options for him. Stockpiling picks is probably what Washington will try and do in hopes of positioning themselves for a franchise QB. They may be willing to give up the farm, and then some for Caleb Williams.

Chase will be a FA after this season. They did not pick up his 5th year option.
So would they keep him, try to resign him. Or get the comp pick.
Or get something for him now if the price Is right.

But I tend to agree, most likely will not trade him.

Young and Sweat are rumored to be available if they decide to sell.

Call me crazy but our defense is a Sweat or Chase away from being truly special. I would call and ask but I have a feeling the Commanders win Sunday.
