Anyone have a good Pope 40 time? All I have is 4.6 out of high school. I have to believe a few years in Georgia Program and he's in 4.5 range. Thats a 6-7 255 frame......

Watson freakin ran down Champ Bailey. Sure he had an angle but he started outside the far hash flat footed. Bailey had a running start and to my eye less distance to cover. Watson freakin demolished him.

Pope and Witten could wreak havoc on D's for a decade. We need playmakers - forget "positions" PLAYMAKERS!

I've already been thinking the same thing.

Bill loves his two TE sets. Campbell isn't getting any younger. Pierce is a nice third TE.

I know that TEs typically aren't burners, but I love the matchup problems, and I think they can make big plays.

Yes, matchup problems. Both Witten and a Pope can be spread wide and force a team into mismatches. I think Pope could come in annd be an impact player before any otf the WR's on the board at #18.

I think the team does need to add a TE this year.

I don't know if I'd use a high pick on one though. Too many other pressing needs. OL, LB, FS, WR.

I do agree the offense needs an infusion of playmakers though.

Wait until the combines when Vernon Davis, from Maryland, shoots up the charts. Kid redefines "Freak." He was the top receiver in the ACC this year, as a TE. Kiper has mentioned him as a better prospect than Kellen Winslow Jr (he's definitely smarter, and an even better person). Gonna miss him at Maryland, but he'll do very well in the NFL.

Too bad he'll be long gone by the time we pick.

Just pushes another player down to us!!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking the same way this morning. BP loves the two TE set, Campbell's a free agent. Could you imagine the offense with a TE opposite Witten who is actually a receiving threat too? Just might open things up more for everybody.

We've got the secret weapon on the PS in Tony Curtis.

No need for another TE:lmao:
