I suppose Quentin J would have to run a 4.6 for him to drop, but he did and I think him and CD would be an awesome 1-2 punch.
Owen P has the speed to be what Quinn needs, if he could play up to his potential.....Parsons, Clark, Pappoe would be a stud group of LB's for years to come.
Mazi puts some more talent and size on the Dline.
Ainias is one of those strange quickness guys who can play HB, WR, RB.....just get him the ball. #3 slot guy would be an awesome spot for him.
Really wanted the UTSA CB who is 6'4" and runs a 4.3, but since he wasn't on the list, I took Gilmore.
Jones and Avila -- have the size and pedigree to develop into starters in the NFL, although it might take a year or two.
Bennet isn't a threat to Dak, but all he does is win. No size, nothing but keeps winning.
Dae Dae will have a red shirt year, and compete next year.

Way too early, but from what I have seen, this would be an awesome draft for Dallas

Pre-injury Anias was insanely explosive, HB/WR or even as a Returner. Assuming he gets back to the same form after his recovery, I would absolutely LOVE to see him with a Star on his helmet.

i know we all say we want BPA and we do but the reality is that there are tiers where many players are likely to have similar value at a pick and that is where we need to prioritize need within the tier

to me our biggest needs next year are DT, CB, OL

I want those 3 positions picked in rds 1-3 unless there is someone at that pick who is just so much better than the others that you just have to take him (like CD)

I thought that too and that still may be the case but he did not impress me much against TCU. Looked like he was slow off the snap and got handled pretty well while TCU rushed for 263 yards. He looks like a two down player with zero pass rush ability so he could slip who knows.

Johnstons stock will depend on his Combine.If he aces it then he will go early in the draft.I am looking at Waddle type shifty and fast WRs because we have none of those right now.

Assumptions: Pollard does not sign with Dallas. LVE, Barr, Schultz did not sign. DWilson, McGovern, ABrown, JLewis, Steele, Hankins and CWatkins signed.

ACarter is my unicorn MLB. He is 6'7" 260lbs with descent speed and is considered a complete LB. Him and Parsons hold down the LB positions with DClark when needed. Big wingspan to clog up middle zone.
Pollard signed elsewhere, so D had the chance to pick up Gibbs. It was almost Achane, but decided on Gibbs instead.
KBenton -- Ika and Mazi gone before this, so had to get the best DL available.
Ainias -- see above, but steps in as a playmaker and slot. Would have never dropped this low except for the injury.
Tippmann -- if you need inside OL, seems like you have to go back to Wisconsin.
Newton -- hopefully the next Bland
Latu -- let's see how he develops.....Ferguson and Hendershot start.
Haener -- developmental QB
Winters-- needed more in the LB room, and who knows, he might develop.

So is it better than the one above, worse, about the same ? What are your thoughts?

Yeah the desire to take a WR or RB in the first is bizarre to me. You already have a top 1-2 punch at WR. You need a good third guy. Frankly, that's more likely to come from FA. There will be options in FA (granted, I know what the Jones morons do in FA).

Go line as early and often as possible. Yes, if some bizarre thing happens, like say Mayer slides to your 2nd round pick, then yeah, you deviate. But as you said, we need impact DTs, we could use depth along the OL (even a starting caliber OG or OC) and CB will need reinforcements. Shoot, I'd even go LB before I went WR with some of our early picks.

The Cowboys top 3 needs:
DT

DT

The best draft strategy is still BPA with need used to differentiate same tier players.

Parsons and Tyler were the top players on the Cowboys board.

Taco was not the top player available on their board (It was RB Dalvin Cook).

I think he can be. He‘s got real upside. More talent than any interior lineman on this team. And that’s really the point. We simply don’t have the right level of talent inside. It would be nice to be active in FA and address the position but I ain’t holding my breath.

I think this is one of my favorite pre-combine drafts.

1) Carter -- until further information, this is my LVE replacement at MLB. Unicorn size and linebacker skills. IF he has the skills I imagine, then him and Parsons would reek HAVOC in DQ's defense with teams having lots of trouble determining who the MLB is and who is coming and who is covering.
2) Mazi -- hopefully the 1T Dallas has needed for years.
3) Achane -- Powell replacement with assumption Powell takes the money somewhere else. Sprinter with natural speed.
4) Ainias -- this is Dallas new slot receiver. Just get him the ball and let him work.
5) Tippmann -- is a Center not an OT. Give Biadasz a little comp , or moves one to guard. Martin starting to get old in the tooth.
6) Steen -- add a little more IOL competition
7) Williams -- need more LB's
8-9) Luter/Braswell -- all the big school guys who have done it were picked over, so I went with small school guys
