I have always thought McCarthy was a good football coach , when he was with Greenbay. But since he has been with Dallas , he has failed to bring team disipline along with a week run scheme .And his lack of motion on offense puzzles me as a Cowboys fan, I do like his use of the fullback position .But his coaching must improve the rest of the season or he should not be retained as head coach.

This team lacked discipline before MM. I am no MM fan but this goes up higher than coaching.

Penalties are a sign of lack of discipline...but they are also a sign of lack of talent. We have a lot of young players starting that frankly just aren't good enough yet (maybe ever) to play at this level.

If any Cowboys fan heard Jerry talking about Zeke after the game Sunday, he basically praised Zeke as “a leader” despite his lack of commitment to team meetings or rules.

When anyone wants to know why this team has no discipline, it starts at the very top.

To much time at the buffet table instead of fixing problems wondering what his massage schedule is. It’s all lip service for MM as long as he gets his check all is good

There are always exceptions to the rule but typically the penalties are a result of a lack of talent. Typically guys don't commit fouls if they are beating their man. Penalties should be pretty tough to coach this year for that reason IMO.
Yep. Erik Williams’ penalties increased significantly post-wreck when his talent level dropped. Seem to remember tripping becoming a problem. Same with Flozell (holding) if I remember right as he aged.

A lot is from guys being beat. Those don’t bother me as much. The pre snap penalties is just a lack of discipline and awareness and that’s what gets me

The problem isn't McCarthy. Every could would have this problem with Jerry as the GM/owner. He doesn't respect the HC position enough to let a coach do his job right and hampers proper discipline. That being said, McCarthy doesn't have the balls to stand up to Jerry and actually start demanding the tools he needs to coach right, so he's happy coasting as is.

i just dont understand it
Maybe not this bad, we had problems with Penalties even when Parcels’
was HC. Didnt he call the team “stupid” once? Is tt really a result of a Jerry Jones culture?
