There is absolutely no reason to play Lance other than in an emergency. We played him all preseason hoping we could unload him for a draft pick. We couldn’t. He will be a free agent soon. There is truly no reason to even want to see him this season.

Even if that’s true though the cowboys really don’t have a way of keeping him if he shows any signs of that in a game. Dak is $89m against the cap next year. If Lance has a good game or two he may command $20m from someone on a 1 yr prove it type of deal.

Lance is more than just RPOs.

Lance led preseason stats in passing and rushing.

He played almost the entire preseason, while Rush only got a few series. Lol They gave Lance every opportunity to win the backup and he failed. He had a bunch of INT’s, including 5 of them in the last preseason game.
