It is so comical remembering the red headed genius always responding to the question”why don’t you ever try to sign an Aaron Donald or a Christian McCaffery when they are available”
Zeke was a cheap signing that will provide some help. Get over it!It is so comical remembering the red headed genius always responding to the question”why don’t you ever try to sign an Aaron Donald or a Christian McCaffery when they are available”
The last time he was available was during the 2014 draft. Some fans don’t think before they post. Also at what point in his career was Aaron Donald factually available?
Yes, and the concern from most of us is he will be trotted out as an RB1. I have no problem with Zeke here in theory. It's the fact he's likely to be over used and we will see a lot of 3.5ypc.What matters in the end is what Zeke can bring to the team. An objective look at his production the last two years shows him to clearly be a RB in decline. He averaged 3.5 yds per carry in 2023 and 3.8 in 2022. Last year he was ranked 32nd among RBs with over 150 carries per game.
Could he be better in 2023? It would require unrealistic expectations to believe that. Could he run 5-8 times a game in situations effectively? Maybe. But his days as an effective starting RB1 have to be considered over.
