I know we all wanted Dallas to win the game with the Iggles. I certainly did. However, let's think about this for a moment....

1) The Eagles are good. Let's face it. As much as we'd all like to see them suck, that's not happening this season.

2) This was an away divisional game. Those are tough even when the home team ISN'T good.

3) Philly had emotion on their side. Not only was the crowd completely pumped because the reviled T.O. was coming to town (and those people need to get lives) but the players were pumped as well. The Linc was in a total frenzy, and that's a tough place to play in a "normal" game. I'd say this was a miniature version of what the Falcons dealt with when they played New Orleans on the night the SuperDome reopened. The Falcons never had a chance in that one .. it was too emotional for the home team and fans.

4) The game was close despite the long, long list of errors Dallas made.

Now, here's the good news...

1) The NFC East is very even this season. Any of the teams is capable of beating any of the other teams without luck involved. I predict at the end of the season if you look at the divisional records of the four teams, there will be a lot of losses. Hell, you could end up seeing 4-4 in the division for EVERY team and it wouldn't surprise me. Right now, Dallas is 1-1 in the division. Guess what? So is Philly.

2) We play Philly again this season. The next time will be on "our" turf. It will be a very different game, I guarantee.

3) It wouldn't surprise me if Philly dropped their next game. I don't even know who they're playing, and I probably won't bother to look it up. Sunday's game was their season. The players have been looking forward to it for a lonnnng time. They're due for a letdown.

4) We play the Texans this week. They're just not a very good team.

I'd agree with all of that , but we're the minority . You'll be told that Dallas lost because Bledsoe is old and Parcells can't coach .

all true... obvious, good points but....

it's just that Drew tossed away the SECOND road game vs good opponents out of 2 played. most of us dont see that as an abberation, rather a trend.

that trend will render the season moot.

I'm not playing the chicken little card just yet....... I have confidence that this thing will get corrected.:)

Well if you double up what has happened so far... it doesnt stay even for long.... the Eagles are running...

Currently

Eagles 4-1
Cowboys 2-2
Giants 2-2
Commanders 2-3

Now double it up(more or less)

Eagles 8-2
Cowboys 5-5
Giants 5-5
Commanders 4-6

THAT is how ugly it could get

I agree. I have been saying Philly is much better than what many of our fans were saying they would be. I felt the NFC East would be a dog fight until the end and it is looking like that will also be true.

so we spotted them 10 points, played like crap for about 50 minutes and still could've sent it inti OT but drew bledsoe is our qb

That's quite an assumption to be making, that we'll play the next 4 games the way we played the first 4, or that anyone will play exactly the same. There are different teams on the schedule. Philly doesn't get to play Houston, San Fran, or Green Bay in the next 5 games.

It could but I'm betting it won't be like that which is why they play the game. instead of double it up. :lmao2:

Any time you predict a score or the standings in the future... it is a guess.. an assumption.... just like the person who started the thread

We all know that good team vs bad team doesnt always play out the way you expect... after 10 games I cant see us having a better record than 6-4.... we dont do the smart things in football... adjustments, playcalling etc....

End Game, I hear what you are saying and I just want to say one thing in response...

That's great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and

Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn - world

Look at that low playing! Fine, then. Uh oh,

The problem is I now have that song in my head. The worst part is Chris Farley and David Spade are singing it like in Tommy Boy.

I made an assumption or two in my post, but that's a HUGE assumption you're making.

I agree with most of that. I'm a bit concerned they won't make the proper adjustments to the blitz, but I don't see why they *can't* do that. And I think the team is screwed in the playoffs as Bledsoe will get rattled by a good pass rush again.

I'm actually more upset about the Jacksonville game because that was a game that Dallas should've sealed the deal early on and didn't. Coming into the Jax game I felt about 50% confident they could win. Coming into the Philly game, given the environment and situation, I was about 30% confident.

I understand the outrage towards Bledsoe and some of it towards the coaching staff. But giving up the division to the Eagles already makes no sense to me whatsoever.
