We need to find a coach like the Texans did

I'm jealous of the Texans. Demeco Ryans is a defensive minded coach that their team rallies around. A leader, but not one that a team will likely eventually get tired of and tune out. We don't have a leader anywhere in our locker room from the owner to the GM (same person) to the coach to any of the players. We either need a coach for a leader or a Ray Lewis, but those don't grow on trees.

I'm not even sure who would give a speech in the locker room right now. It isn't McCarthy, it isn't Dak, it isn't CeeDee and it isn't Micah.

What people might not know about Jimmy Johnson is that he understood psychology, the way the human brain works and how to motivate a team. We have zero of that and haven't since he was fired (other than the season with Switzer which was still Jimmy's team). We also had Michael freaking Irvin, another leader of men.

That would be cool and I really like DeMeco Ryans. But I have a serious question: If we did just that. Hired that kind of HC or even Ryans himself. How are things different if the way this team is run doesn’t change?

Does the #2 and #3 pick come with this new coach who is also allowed to hire and run his own staff? Ryans is off to a good start but Dallas wouldn’t have went any further with him this season.
I don't think that's necessarily true. We came out flat and unprepared in the first half. Maybe that doesn't happen. We actually won the second half not that you get any credit for that, but if we showed up in the first half like the second half we win the game.

I’m jealous of the Texans because they have CJ Stroud
I like both the coach and QB. They are building a contender. They'll get to their first AFC Championship before we do again, maybe not this year but soon enough. I like their defense better than ours too and I felt this way during the regular season not just hindsight.

We need to find a coach that can reach/connect with the players. Football is a very physical game, yet we continuously get bullied. To be successful you must execute, but we continuously make dumb mistakes. We need a coach that can get the players to focus on the task at hand, to commit, to sacrifice for that singular goal of winning a championship.

Yes we've won 12 games for three straight years, but look at the schedule. Giants twice, football commanders twice, Patriots, Jets in week 2 without Aaron Rodgers. This team doesn't fight, how can the importance of playoffs football not be conveyed from coach to player? How can a coach stay with a scheme that is not working?

What we need is for Jerry to say okay my way is not working. I will give way to a disciplinarian and let him hire his staff, that's what we need, less Jerry Jones.

Jerry wouldn’t want someone like Ryans. Ryans has a handful of fantastic qualities that were obvious when he was available and Jerry doesn’t prioritize any of them.

There would be alot to say about this stance. We won the second half? In what universe?

Well, when a team leads by 20 points before the half and see what the other team is (not) doing AND keep on extending that lead in the third quarter, then they just cant keep up the concentration level or energy. You know you have to be careful but basically know you have won the game. Once again Dak and the guys "showed up" in garbage time. Because that's what the second half was.

So no, we did not "win" the second half. We just jumped onto the crumbs, which GB threw at us. Don't even go anywhere near that hypothesis, honestly. ;)

This on both fronts, they got there players and coach picked his own staff. Everyone knows Jed philosophy, he tells the incoming coach, this assistant stays on the staff and that is the way it’s going to be. Only owner in the league that pulls that crap, he can’t be like them at all.
