We need to watch what we ask for in losing games for draft positioning!

We want a top player but at what expense do we trust that Jerry and company will get the right pick? How can we be sure that it's not another guy who played a position in college and we switch him to a different position, and it messes with his development. There's all kinds of things that can happen. I just want to caution us all, and let's see what happens when these guys actually as able to be seen in a Cowboys uniform. Please give your thoughts!

I think they have a better chance of making a good pick the higher they draft. By the time the draft rolls around I expect there will be between 12 and 15 guys who are legitimate 1st round picks, guys who can make an impact rookie year. If they lose this week, they will get a shot at 2 or 3 of them. It improves their second round choices to as long as they don't go for another high risk high reward player.

They need at least 2 quality players out of this draft, guys who can start and contribute right away.

I am thinking BPA. I cannot think if a position where the Cowboys cannot use help.

btw, they dont' have to find players only in the 1st two rounds. The Ravens got Nnamdi Madubuike in the 3rd round drafting 7th in the round, 11 spots ahead of Dallas. If they can pull something off like that it would be huge.

No one trusts Jerry. That is not a good excuse for not wanting a higher draft pick.

The higher the pick, the more confidence I have in them getting it right. When they are drafting later in the first round, things get really dicey, ala passing on Watt.

It's not a pick. It's picks plural.
