and let the safeties help in run support. Their receivers are no good so tonight would be the perfect time for an aggressive game of defense. Newman and Henry can both shut down any of their receivers and vick can't throw very well anyway.

Hopefully we come out with this in mind and finally play straight man to man defense instead of a stupid soft zone.

Go Boys!!!

Completely disagree. In man to man coverage the CB's will have their backs to Vick. Therefore, if he takes off running, they won't be watching Vick to know that he's taken off.

2, there's no need to play aggressive in this game because Vick will not likely beat us with his arm, its his legs ya gotta worry about. If you play aggressive and blitz and get guys out of position against him, it just leaves holes for him to run.

This is the game where the Zone is a good idea. In zone the defenders are facing toward the QB.

I heard Parcell's say this exact same thing all week long. I wouldn't be surprised if we play it like the Tennessee game. Basically, wait for Vick to make a mistake.

We need our faster LB's on the field to rotate spying Vick.

:starspinDoes anybody know the speed of our LB's in descending order???:starspin

I dunno what the speed rating is. I'm sure you could find some old combine numbers if you really wanted to, but I wouldn't mind seeing Burnett get some snaps opposite Ware

I would venture to say that Ware and Burnett are the 2 fastest of the bunch.

Lot's of Zone is needed vs Vick. He's not the most accurate guy in the world, so he typically won't just pick you apart like say a Brees would. Also, as others have suggested, you don't want DB's backs turned to Vick playing man.

None of our LB's have the speed or quickness to stay with Vick. If it came down to it, maybe Glenn or even Newman would be the guy if you had to put someone on him full time. Vick is not a big guy so Glenn could probably do all right- though the only guy as fast as Vick is Newman.
