Tampa has already started their fire sale trading mason to the Texans for a 6th!

Time to see who else they wanna get rid of on the cheap. I’m still pissed we didn’t trade a 3rd for Ramsey but this will easily make up for that anger.

This team needs to improve this off season and I think mike Evans coming back to Texas would be a perfect fit for all parties...

What would it take though... maybe a 4th rd pick I’d be willing to do that.

Thoughts?

The only thing we should do is draft, unless a cornerback happens to fit the price

I’m not pissed, I’m not happy about it either. Welcome to cowboy land.

Pre June 1st trade Bucs would have to eat all of his dead money so it would only save them like 2.5 million

There's not enough of a cap savings to trade him

For a 4th? Haha. I live in Tampa, there is a huge difference between between Shaq and Evans down here. The team was more than willing to trade someone they picked up for a late 5th rounder a year ago that they feel underproduced during his one season with the team versus Mike Evans, who has done nothing but produce year after year. Not to mention he is one of the most beloved fan favorites. The GM for the Buc's was on sports talk radio just last week and said they have no plans to trade him unless he asked for it, and he himself has said he would prefer to spend his career with the team. Radio hosts wired in with the team down here seem to feel it would take an early 2nd/late 1sts for them to consider it given his reputation with the team and fans.

That and honestly, trading Shaq for an early sixth round pick that is only 10-15 spots below what they traded to get him a year ago would not be what anyone would call the beginning of a fire sale (especially considering how poorly they felt he played last season). This was a case of getting younger and removing an underperforming progress blocker on a year they know they will be struggling in. Nothing more.

In other words, it is not happening.

Ramsey also wanted a huge new contract. Not worth the headache. He wanted out of Jacksonville and then when he realized he was not getting another ring with the Rams he wanted out as well. He wanted a big pay day at this point.

Dallas needed to be concerned paying Diggs soon. No way they could do that with paying Ramsey.

As for Evans, what would the cost be with draft picks and what is his cap hit.
I don’t know, so will not comment to say yet. However I would not mind it at the right cost.

I’ve changed my mind on wr. While Gallup has never been an upper echelon #2, bringing in a better guy still leaves us missing what I really want. I’m willing to stick with Gallup at #2 and hope he has a better season while finding a speedy, quick slot receiver who can move the chains regularly, a faster version of Beasley, and I think there are a number of those guys in the draft.

Actually he is reltively cheap compared to signing a free agent WR.
- 14.5M for 2023
- Free Agent in 2024
I think he’d be a good complimentary receiver with CeeDee and Gallup

Why when they can trade for Hopkins.
