If you still support Jerry, then you are part of the problem.
I view it differently. Supporting the team is not really supporting Jerry. I been a fan since 1965, and never care who owned the team.
Things will never change unless the fans force him to. Empty seats, declining merch sales, public shaming, etc is what needs to be done.
Jerry is a cancer that needs to be removed.
OK, so you are doing your part. I do not buy merchandise either, nor been to a game since 2015. By me watching the games does not put money into Jerry's pocket. He gets the from the TV rights, not me. I do not spend money of anything, not to jab Jerry, but because there is nothing I want or need.
Also, I am no longer a fan. I have been a “follower” and not a “fan” for the past 10 years.
Fans can be blind and unrealistic about the team. They get emotionally affected by wins and losses.
Followers are not emotionally invested to the team and see things more clearly.
I do not get emotionally effected either. And your last line is false. You do not follow the team, but you are emotionally effected, or why else would you be coming in here to complain about Jerry and the team. It is not to brag how you do not follow the team is it? If so that is not a fan, as you said you are no longer a fan.
A follower means. .... Fair weather fan / follower. Not a real fan.
It is like a friend of mine, he will try to jab other people when their team loses. But he has "always been a fan of X team" as those team are the ones that are winning.
Fair weather fan.
