Week one is almost in the books. Tonight Jets fans get to watch Aaron Rodgers hopefully begin the journey to the Super Bowl, something Jets fans haven't seen since the days of Broadway Joe. That's Super Bowl III for you young ones out there.

But what about the NFCE? Let's look at what happened yesterday. Caveat: It is only week one.

Washington: Unlike Carson Wentz, Sam Howell didn't do something stupid to lose a close game at the end. He's not a great talent, and looks to be a game manager-type, a la budget Kurt Cousins. Yes, they beat the not-so-mighty Cardinals, but a win is a win. It looked like for a half that someone forgot to tell Gannon that his team is supposed to be tanking. Ron Rivera must have felt good about his defense getting those turnovers that led to victory. He can't count on that all year long. There are no Cardinals in the NFCE.

New York: I have heard all summer from Giants fans that they have the coaching advantage, and that advantage will help make up for talent deficiencies. So much for that line of thinking. The Giants offensive line is putrid beyond belief. RT Evan Neal plays as if he resides in quicksand. Their rookie center, talked up on Sirius NFL radio, was outmatched all game. Future stud LT Andrew Thomas pulled a hammy during the game. He's very good and he looked lost at times. A pair of traffic cones would have done better than their guards. Hey, maybe it was just a bad game, one of those games that sees nothing go right. We have been on the wrong end of them, like the Bears and Eagles raking up 44 points against us years ago. Giants fans must be cringing at the thought of Jones becoming a $160 million lump of battered flesh playing behind that line. DC Wink Martindale was supposed to be the genius that could stop Dak and Co. from doing what they did last night. So much for that, eh? Darren Waller looked as if he'd rather be back on the Raiders.

Philly: Bill Bellicheat and his evil defensive ways had plenty of time to prepare for Hurts and the gang. One thing he did was resort to a sort of "mush rush" throughout the game. He probably realized that rushing Philly's o-line is an exercise in futility. Too bad their QB sucks ***, or Philly would have gone down. They played in the same crappy rain that we did, and Philly doesn't seem to play well in wet conditions for some reason. Philly's play calling seemed off, and kudos to the posters here that thought the loss of OC Shane Steichen may hurt Philly early on. Last year, lest we forget, Philly may have won a lot of games, but early in the season they won them looking less than dominant. Supreme ****** bag Nick Sirianni gave up play calling to Steichen, and the Eagles offense looked much better. I don't know who is calling the plays in Phily, Sirianni or new OC Johnson (maybe one of our many resident Philly fans can answer). I will admit that I can't see how Jalen Carter fell to Philly. But Philly needs LB's in the worst way. Unlike NY or Washington, they have a crap load of talent, so they will right the ship and be fine. In the end, they went on the road and won. That's all that matters for now.

Dallas: "Oh my God, we're getting blown out!" Yeah...um, no. We whooped some serious *** in the NE New Jersey cesspool (yes, New Jersey is actually a nice state with great areas, but the NE part of the state and Camden are like a GTA server). I don't have to say much, as everyone saw the glorious thrashing we gave the Giants and you don't need me to rehash the slaughter. No more listening to how "we closed the gap with the cowboys" crap spewing from the mouths of Giants fans. We and the 49ers look like the best teams in the NFC right now. We have every right to believe in our team this year.

Dallas 1-0
Philly 1-0
Wash 1-0
.
.
.
NY 0-1 (LOL)

Read it and weep.

*Just want to add about Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter- They went against an OL that was down 3/5 of their normal unit. The two G's were rookie backups that were 5th and 6th round picks.

Good performance, but they won't do that to Dallas.
