Weird season, with the salary cap not expecting to make a huge jump as expected pre-pandemic if you look at baseball FA are not getting big contracts does the NFL follow suit. Is this the year guys are not going to take long term contracts because the money isn't available which could be very beneficial for the Cowboys.
Will the stagnant FA effect how teams operate in the draft?
no combine, no in-person evaluation that makes this draft very difficult to know what you are getting until you got them in the building.
This is going to be a tricky draft to operate in and might be a hard draft to trade down in, or might be the opposite teams might have so many question marks about players and have a few guys they feel very good/ comfortable with they might be willing to trade up to avoid risk.
QB's I don't think people will question take any of those top 3 guys but the Lance's and Jones's of the world do they become more or less sought after when you consider Farley's injury concerns, Surtain athleticism, Micah's off the field questions?
Do chess pieces like Pitts become more important since you can do the testing where he can play multiple positions or JOK who can play any LB spot in a 4-3 defense, Slater if he can't do a combine would teams feel more comfortable with him where if he doesn't end up being a great OT at the very least you have a perennial pro bowl interior o-linemen.
On top of all these things, this is not a star-studded draft class to find a guy to build you team around, but there is plenty of depth for building the core around your team.
Knowing what we know now, would you feel more comfortable sticking and picking at 10 or trying to move down and have a bunch of darts?

- Guys that you question their athleticism might fall down the board.
- Character questions might cause guys to fall down the board.
- Injury concerns might cause guys to fall down the board.
